He may hae gone from our UK shores, but he is certainly not forgotten. He has been nominated for 'Best Sportsperson' in the UK Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

The other nominees are Dame Kelly Holmes, Lewis Hamilton and WWE star John Cena. (?!?)

No doubt Becks will win this awards, even though with his schedule he would not be able to collect the awards...but just in case you can vote here

Versace Says "Don't Believe The Hype"

I was very excited when I read yesterday that Dontella Versace would be designing The Spice Girls stage outfits for their comeback tour.

But a spokesperson for Versace killed my dream by announcing this is not the case. "It's simply not true," he told Vogue. "I have no idea where the rumours have come from."

It was reported by many fashion journalists that the style-wise the group appeared under-styled and out of tune at their photo call (mostly due to Geri choice of mumsy outfit).

I would suggest they get someone huge on board. If not Versace then maybe Dolce & Gabanna. As much as I loved the platform trainers, Mel B's leopard-print catsuits and Geri's Union Jack minis, I don't think it would work a second time around (well maybe just for one song...Wannabee of course).

Three Games And Still Out

David Beckham will miss his third game in a row tomorrow against FC Dallas. Thankfully he did not travel, so he can stay in LA and work on his recovery.

"He just wants to get going," Yallop said. "That's the frustrating part. But he feels a lot better. He's going to start running today or tomorrow. He feels that he can, so that's good."

As you can see from the picture above his ankle is still heavily strapped. I hope for David's sake he can get over his injury and get back to want he is itching to do. Play.

Mama's Gotta Brand New Bag

Victoria, David and the boys were at the Home Depot Center in Carson for a family day function for the footballers, wives and children. How cute.

The boys were dressed in their standard mini-me LA Galaxy kits whereas Mummy Becks looks absolutely amazing in this Pucci dress with another Hermes Birkin bag (serious bag envy).

This is one of the best outfits I have seen Victoria in this year.

I do wonder how she manages walk on grass with heels.

Posh On The View

It has been reported that Victoria Beckham has been in discussions with ABC executives with regards to her presenting on ‘The View’.

Personally, I do not believe this story. Victoria is based in LA, 'The View' is based in New York being the first major stumbling block.

She has the personality for this show, but being from England I don't think she would be able to speak with much authority on the subjects which will be about American things and American people she does not know.

Besides I thought Whoopi Goldberg was the front runner for the spot.

David Beckham Watches From The Bench As Galaxy Lose

David Beckham was a surprise inclusion in the Galaxy squad having been categorically ruled by Galaxy head coach Frank Yallop with an ankle injury.

David watched from the bench as the LA Galaxy were defeated 2-1 by Chivas Guadalajara in their SuperLiga group match.

Second-half goals from Francisco Rodriguez and Omar Bravo gave the Mexican side the victory before Landon Donovan grabbed a late consolation for Galaxy.

After the win and high of last week, this must be a bitter disappointment for David and the team.

On The Cover - LNB

LNB magazine recently posted David Beckham on their 22 July 2007 cover.

You would be easily be forgiven for thinking this was a recent photo, but it was first used on the July 2004 issue of Vanity Fair, exactly 3 years ago.

The only difference in this photo - shot by Annie Leibovitz - and the Beckham of today is that he now has more tattoo's.

Victoria Beckham has been making lots of new friends since she arrived in LA. Her newest best friend seems to be Eva Longoria.

Many are commenting that the Victoria and Eva friendship seems more genuine as they are closer in age, and appear to have more in common (shopping, being seen out in public, both have sportsmen as husbands) than Victoria and Katie.

The first sign we saw that these two were becoming friends was at David Beckham's first game for LA Galaxy. In the VIP box it was Victoria and Eva sipping champagne, chatting away, while Katie actually watched the game and played with Suri.

The following night, Eva went solo to the "Welcome to America" party, but she reportedly hung tight to her new BF Victoria.

On July 25, David and Victoria enjoyed lunch with Eva Longoria at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood and I am sure this is not the last time we will see them out together.

'Ugly Betty' Executive Producer Confirms Victoria Beckham's Cameo

At last night's ABC TCA Party, Ugly Betty Executive Producer Marco Pennette revealed that Victoria Beckham will guest star on the show this season.

He wouldn't say much about her role but he did reveal this, "There's a wedding dress involved. There's a wedding involved with her storyline."

Ugly Betty star Becki Newton, who plays binge-eating receptionist Amanda, hopes her character clashes with Beckham. She says, "Amanda is going to be like, 'I'm not standing next to Posh because she's too skinny. She's gonna make me look fat.' Amanda's gonna take her down."

Another Beckham Haircut

David Beckham showed off his new hair cut while visiting his favourite coffee shop, The Coffee Bean.

When David first got the bleach blonde I did not like it, now he has buzzed it off I miss it.

Again David does not look too happy, maybe it is because he has been ruled out of the LA Galaxy's match on Saturday against Mexican side Chivas de Guadalajara in the cross-border Superliga competition.

David unfortunately still has not recovered from his ankle injury. He is expected to make his Major League Soccer debut at Toronto on Sunday week.

The Beckham - especially Victoria - sure do love shopping.

After Victoria's food shopping jaunt, she met up with David at West Hollywood Boutique H Lorenzos, were they did even more shopping.

Both looked a bit miserable, especially David who maybe bored of shopping already. He can't really do anything else since he can't train with his sore ankle. But if you go to any women store in the world, you are bound to find a bored man trailing his wife.

Victoria Beckham Shopping At Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods Market is the world's largest retailer of natural and organic foods, and that is where Victoria Beckham was shopping today with her friend and hairstylist Ben Cooke. They look they are stocking up as they both had a full trolley.

Victoria looks fabulous here wearing a Rick Owens top, her own capri pants, those gorgeous Sergi Rossi shoes wore on her birthday shopping trip in Paris, plus my favourite of her (many) Hermes bags.

Victoria must be furious to hear The Sun newspaper reporting that Lindsay Lohan has bet her friends $50k that she will bed David Beckham by December, knowing that Victoria is away on tour with the Spice Girls this winter.

I personally don't believe this story because firstly I Lindsay will be in prison very soon and secondly as if David would even touch that.

I wonder how many paparazzi followed David Beckham for his latest shopping spree on Wednesday, this time at Adidas.

After his shopping spree the Beckham's went to lunch with NBF Eva Longoria at the Chateau Marmont . I wonder who did all the talking at that lunch?



Did any of you catch the David Beckham’s Soccer USA? I did and it was hideous. Host Tim Lovejoy did not have a clue what he was talking about. It was embarrassing to watch. And I don't know why they call it David Beckham’s Soccer USA when it is not even really about David. He appeared in one pre-recorded interview which lasted 2 mins.

I won't be watching it again.

David Beckham Hates The LA Paparazzi

David Beckham is worried that all the attention he has been attracting since his arrival in the States could end in tragedy.

He said: "It's definitely over the top here in LA.

In London, if we'd go out to dinner, there would be four or five cars following us.

The other night we had 47. No joke. I get nervous. They run red lights and you're just waiting for accidents to happen."

LA insiders admit that the city's snappers are the most ferocious in the world and will literally fight for the right picture.

After their shopping spree yesterday they had a police escort to keep the paparazzi away.

It is great see pictures of them, but is also scary to know the lengths some of the paparazzi go to for a picture. Becks also might be surprised to know that the majority of them are actually from Europe.

More Becks On TV

After David's 'New Beginnings' documentary yesterday, you will be pleased to know that we will have more Becks on the telly.

David Beckham's Soccer USA debuts tonight. It airs in the US on Fox Soccer Channel at 21:00 ET and in the UK at 19:15 on Channel Five.

It is a series of 13 episodes which will begin with David's debut match against Chelsea on Saturday.

The remaining episodes will take place at a different MLS tilt each week, and will include video highlights from Galaxy games and Beckham's personal life; interviews with him and others from MLS; as well as special segments about his life leading up to his trip to America and what he plans to do now that he's in the US.

LA Galaxy End 3 Game Losing Streak

David Beckham, as expected, was ruled out of the Los Angeles Galaxy's opening SuperLiga match against Mexican side Pachuca last night.

David failed to recover from an ankle injury in time, but was in attendance as his new side recorded a 2-1 win at the Home Depot Center. Also in attendance was his mother, sister, Romeo, Brooklyn and his long-time pal Phil Neville of Manchester United.

David has continued to receive treatment on his left ankle following his cameo appearance against Chelsea. He also missed training on Monday.

Galaxy's next game is another SuperLiga encounter against Chivas Guadalajara at the Los Angeles Coliseum on Saturday, with head coach Frank Yallop more confident Beckham will play some part in that match.

Becks Pulls In 1.5 Million For ESPN

David Beckham is not expected top play in the team's SuperLiga opener today against Pachuca.

After getting his debut out of the way, Galaxy plan to give Beckham as much time as necessary to fully recover from an ankle injury.

The injury nearly kept him from making his debut Saturday. Beckham even said he wasn't "fit."

"There was a tremendous amount of focus and ultimately some pressure to see him in the first game," Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas told the league's Web site. "There was the excitement that ESPN built around it and there was excitement in the community. We got that over with and now we need to make sure he's good for the long term."

David will be please to know that his 12 minute debut against Chelsea on Saturday helped ESPN draw its highest EVER MLS game audience with a rating of 1.5 million people.

Looks like Brand Beckham is having a positive impact already.

New Beginnings

After last week's tongue-in-cheek, ironic documentary on Victoria Beckham. I was relieved that David's documentary was more factual.

The most shocking thing for me from the documentary was to learn that Beckham had to train by himself at Real Madrid, after signing for LA Galaxy. Fabio Cappello would make Beckham and Ronaldo train alone once the media had left the training ground. I admire David because he held his head high and got on with the job. The satisfying thing from that is that Cappello has since been sacked. Which proves that..."what goes around, comes around."

The documentary was quite emotional in parts as he talked about the down times i.e. getting knocked out of the world cup, being dropped from the England and Real Madrid team, but I felt he feels he can make a difference in America.

About the hard times David said, "It's difficult at times but there's nothing that gives you that feeling of coming home and seeing the kids and spending time with the kids."

David also admitted he's a cry-baby. Asked if he was an emotional person, Becks replied: "Without a doubt. You know, I'll be sitting at home and we'll be watching a film that's not even upsetting and Victoria will turn round to me and say, 'Are you crying?'

"I've been an emotional person at home and when I'm at work. That's the way I've always been and that's the way I'll always be."

After watching this documentary I fell in love with David a little bit more. He is so sweet and genuine, but I still do wish they were back in Europe.

Here are some great pictures inside the Beckham's party and the details are as follows.

Stevie Wonder serenaded the Beckham’s with a private 15-minute set at their gala, and Victoria was heard saying to Katie Holmes: "This is amazing! I can’t believe Stevie Wonder is singing!" After Wonder wrapped up, Will Smith performed an impromptu rap session, splitting the dance floor into two sections. He then went back and forth to both sides to see who was having more fun, demanding that each side scream louder, then he did the splits! "The look on Tom’s face was priceless!" the witness said.

Guests dined on food from gourmet L.A.-based Patina Group. They chose from a giant tower of chocolate cupcakes hamburgers, fries, chicken wings, pizza, mashed potatoes and salad. Celeb DJ Samantha Ronson played tunes, including "Rehab" from Amy Winehouse, John Mellencamp’s "Jack and Diane", and the Spice Girls classic "Wannabe". But one guest claimed: "Posh got really shy and did not sing along."

There was even a shout out from the DJ booth, "Let’s hear it for Scientology!" Cruise, Holmes and the Beckham’s called it a night at 1.40am.

Sounds like a great party.

Had Victoria and Jada really been friends, they would have consulted each other on what the other was wearing. That is what girlfriends do.

Both wore sexy black baby-doll mini's showing plenty of leg and high heeled shoes. Victoria much have been furious when she saw what Jada was wearing, as this was her night.

This further proves my theory that the Smith's were only drafted into 'co-host' this bash in order for it not to be deemed as a Scientology event.

UPDATE: After reading some of your comments just wanted to say that I said the dresses are ALMOST the same, not the same. It is clear the dresses are not the same.

David Beckham 'New Beginnings'

Tonight on ITV1 at 9pm we (in the UK) finally get to see David's documentary 'New Beginnings'. It has already been broadcast in the US on ESPN.

After a year in which he made his England return and powered Real Madrid to the league title, he now preparing for a fresh challenge, this documentary follows him every step of the way. It is a uniquely personal account that takes viewers on a journey as Beckham prepares for a new life in America.

The programme will feature interviews with David as he reflects on the highs and lows of the last 12 months and what he is hoping for in the next chapter of his sporting career at LA Galaxy.

Can't wait. I believe it will be more insightful than Mrs Beckham's documentary.

Californian Cruising

I love that LA has allowed the Beckham's to chill, somewhat. I can not remember a time when I ever saw Victoria driving. She looks fabulous here behind the wheel of her custom-made Bentley.

It has been reported that Victoria is furious at Paris Hilton who described the her husband as "hot".

She has allegedly told friends that Paris and other young Hollywood stars - including Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears - better keep their hands off David.

A source told Britain's Star magazine: "This move to Los Angeles means everything to her. She is happier with David than ever and sees this as an exciting chapter for her and their boys.

"Although she trusts David 100 per cent, she will not tolerate any of the Los Angeles party girls making a move on him, or seeing him as fair game. She wants this to be very clear from the start - David is a devoted family man and these women should forget about trying it on with him.

"The young Hollywood club crowd, such as Lindsay, Paris and Britney, are positively salivating over David."

Last week, it was claimed Victoria had turned down Paris' offer of friendship.

Paris is reported to have said about Victoria: "We could be soul mates."

However, Victoria told a pal: "Over my dead body!"

More Spice Girls Tour Dates?

The Spice Girls are under pressure to increase their world tour to 50 dates, after an unprecedented demand for tickets from fans . The group are to hold talks with manager Simon Fuller to extend the tour after two million fans registered on the group's website.

However, the group - who have agreed to 11 dates and are already considering a further 14 shows - are said to be reluctant because of family commitments.

A source said: "The girls really want to do a huge tour but they're worried about how much they'll be able to commit to it because of their families."

Victoria - who has just moved to Los Angeles with husband David - has three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, and Mel B has two daughters, Phoenix Chi and Angel Iris.

Geri is mother to one-year-old Bluebell Madonna, Emma is due to give birth next month, while Mel C has just got engaged and has solo commitments.

A Spice Girls spokesman said: "The interest has been unprecedented. We believe there have been enough ticket applications to fill London's new Wembley Stadium 20 times over!"

The girls will release a greatest hits album to coincide with the tour this December.

I think there are going to be a lot of diappointed people. Hopefully it is not me.

The Beckham's Are Welcomed...LA Style

Oscar winners and entertainments movers and shakers turned out for what was billed as an official 'Welcome to LA' party for David and Victoria Beckham.

The Beckhams arrived at the exclusive event at the Museum of Contemporary Art's Geffen Contemporary with Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Victoria looks beautiful in mini dress that had feathered detail on the back. She may have been annoyed that Jada wore a similar short black dress. Katie stood out in a long red dress.

Director Ron Howard and producer Brian Grazer were among the first to arrive. Brooke Shields was there. Eva Longoria was followed in by Simon Fuller, Wesley Snipes, Quincy Jones, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Vivica Fox, Matthew Perry, Jim Carrey, Jenny McCarthy, Tyrese Gibson, Rihanna and Brooke Shields.

No media were allow inside the event so enjoy the arrival pictures.

TomKat's Bash For The Beckham's

It has be reported that tonight's Beckham welcome party, hosted by Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, will rival Vanity Fair’s Oscar party. The guest list has a total of 600 people on it.

The above invitation has gone out to some of the biggest names in showbiz, including Oprah, George Clooney, Jim Carrey and Steven Spielberg as well as behind-the-scenes movers and shakers such as Brian Grazer and David Geffen.

Most Hollywood types have never ventured to the corner of 1st and Central in the downtown Arts district. But that’s where this party will take place so it can be roped off from gawkers, press and paparazzi, but I hope we still get pictures of the event. I am sure we will.

You must be wondering what Will and Jada have to do with this event, as they have not been known to be friends with the Beckham's. Well it has been reported that the Cruise's were worried that the guests would think that this was a Scientolgoy event and not attend, hence the need for a second host.

Did David Gamble On His Ankle?

There was an anxious moment in stoppage time when CFC midfielder Steve Sidwell brought Beckham down with a challenge that left the England star grimacing on the floor and clutching his ankles.




In the post match conference David revealed his participation had finally been sanctioned just hours before kick-off but he now faces another anxious wait to see if he will pass fit to face Mexican side Pachuca on Tuesday night in the new SuperLiga tournament which I think is just ludicrous as he is OBVIOUSLY NOT FULLY FIT.

David said, "But I'm really pleased because I wanted to be out there and I put a lot emphasis on the game tonight. My ankle has swollen up slightly but that was going to happen anyway, so we'll see how it is tomorrow.

It's just one of those injuries that footballers get. Everybody knows I sprained it in the England game and I played four days after and pulled the ligaments. Then I had the last game of the season a week after and I had three injections to numb it and I played in that game without any feeling in my foot." (eh?)

"So there were always going to be problems after that but that's what I wanted to do to play in that game."

With regard to the flying tackle from Steve Sidwell Beckham added: "I saw him coming and I jumped just in time, so my foot wasn't actually planted when he hit me.

I got up and you expect that in games. He's a competitive player, it's going to be his first start of the season, he's a good player, he's done well in the Premiership so far and now he's playing for a club like Chelsea so he's going to want to smash some people along the way, even if it's in a friendly. Unfortunately it was me tonight but that's fine. That's part and parcel of being a footballer."

In answer to my own question, yes, I think he gambled unnecessarily on his ankle, and the fact that he is being lined up to play in a a match on Tuesday is crazy. Those boys will not go easy on him, in fact they will target him knowing he has a injury.

Beckham's Celebrity Support

Victoria Beckham, Katie Holmes and her new best friend Eva Longoria, joined a packed out stadium to cheer David Beckham in his debut match...even though he spent most of the game on the bench.

Victoria watched the action with her sons from a box. Other soccer-mad Hollywood celebrities in the crowd included Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Alicia Silverstone, Jimmy Jam with his family, Ray Winstone and (someone I would not have expected) Mary-Kate Olsen.


Katie Holmes gasped and groaned during the friendly against Chelsea, Victoria seemed unconcerned. Hidden behind a massive pair of sunglasses she calmly sipped on a glass of champagne.

David Beckham Makes His Galaxy Debut

Beckham got off the bench in the 66th minute to warm up, exciting fans who had waited most of the game to see him. He jogged up and down the sidelines and a roar went up when Beckham tapped an out-of-bounds ball back to the referee, his first kick of the night.

He briefly ran off the field with the Galaxy's trainer before returning taking off his warmup shirt to reveal his preferred long-sleeved jersey, which he is used to wearing in the Spanish heat.

David Beckham took the field to make his debut on 78th minute at the Home Depot Center.

Despite his 12 minutes on the field, it was not enough to inspire LA Galaxy to victory as they lost by one goal which was scored by John Terry on the 49th minute.

There were cheers each time Beckham touched the ball, the highlight being a corner kick he took in stoppage time.

During the game David did appear to be in physical pain, but played on regardless, which continues to prove that he was under considerable pressure to perform in this game.

Victoria, wearing her trademark huge black sunglasses, along with actress Katie Holmes and her daughter Suri, watched from a private box above the field. Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt was like a lot of spectators, attending her first soccer game.

Eva Longoria, minus new hubby Tony Parker, comedian Drew Carey, NBA star Kevin Garnett, movie producer Brian Grazer, Arnold Schwarzenegger and English actors John Hurt and Ray Winstone also made what were likely their first trips to the home of the LA Galaxy.

The Game Has Started, But Someone Forgot To Tell The Press

David Beckham made his way to the bench just before kick off and the press - as you can see - swarmed him. The game had started but still the photographers concentrated on Becks as he tried to watch the game. The photographers had to be moved in order for everyone to concentrate on the game.

Of course the celebrities came out to get themselves in the papers watch the game. Eva Longoria, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Katie Holmes, Suri Cruise and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

ESPN have a camera dedicated to David Beckham, I would have thought seeing as he was on the bench the would not show him so much....WRONG...he is being shown watching the match as much as the match itself.

Victoria might have a new BF as she spent most of her time talking to Eva Longoria.

OK OK...it is not the fairest of polls considering Victoria is dressed up and Heidi is dressed down.

No matter what they are wearing, they are carrying the most coveted Hermes Ostrich Birkin in pink which cost £10,000.

Posh was gorgeous in pink at David's LA Galaxy's press conference last week, whereas Heidi Klum was casual and dressed down leaving an LA salon yesterday.

Can't Play, Will Play

Eager fans in America will be excited to learn that LA Galaxy are not ruling out David Beckham making his long awaited debut against Chelsea later today.

He will not start the game due to his injury as the brokers of the Beckham deal - Galaxy, the MLS, AEG, and 19, keen to protect their long-term investment, but after the hype and sold out tickets it is clear that he really has no choice, despite this ONLY being an exhibition game.

Beckham was unable to practice with his new team yesterday due to his injury. Galaxy coach Frank Yallop says "Beckhman won't start today's exhibition" and David himself said the same adding "I will play some part, maybe the last 10 minutes".

The game kicks off at 17:30 (LA time), 0130 GMT and will be shown on ESPN and ChelseaTV.

Prior to the match, "David Beckham: New Beginnings" will be shown at 19:30 (LA time) which is David's documentary showing his final days in European football to his U.S. arrival.

Don't worry UK fans the show will also be aired on ITV1 this Tuesday.

TomKat's Welcome Wagon

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will be throwing the Beckham's a "Welcome to America" party on Sunday. The New York Post said, "Invitations went out all over Hollywood".

The Los Angeles Times elaborted by saying that invitations have gone out to some of the biggest names in showbiz, including Oprah, George Clooney, Jim Carrey and Steven Spielberg as well as behind-the-scenes movers and shakers such as Brian Grazer and David Geffen.

The Times calls the Beckhams' coming-out party "A-list only." Tom is even set to fly transatlantic from Germany, where he has just started shooting the movie Valkyrie, especially for the event. (He must want them to be Scientologist real bad).

Those set to attend are Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith who will double up with TomKat in organising the shindig.

The official invitation reads: "Please join Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith in welcoming David and Victoria Beckham to Los Angeles."

The event will be held at The Museum of Contemporary Art. I can't wait for the pictures.

I guess they were talking table plans when the Beckham's visited Katie at home after she returned from Germany. It was the first time they had met up since the Beckhams moved to America.

The Art Of Retouching

Many blogs (including the much respected JustJared) and newspapers are posting the picture on the left saying that Victoria's legs are saggy.

Victoria is a size 0 and does not have an ouch of fat. So it surprises/shocks me that anyone can actually believe that the pictures is true. It was only this morning I was posting the picture on the right.

David is on the cover of the latest ESPN magazine. ESPN are covering all of David's games. They even have an extra TV camera to feast only on David for the duration of the entire game.

ESPN are already airing an advert promoting the match, in it Becks leaves a heartbroken Europe for an ecstatic US, with the Beatles' Hello Goodbye as the soundtrack - referencing a previous "Brit" invasion.

From Soccer Mom To Super Model

"It's hard work being fabulous" and Mrs Beckham continues to be fabulous here for a photoshoot (no word on who for yet) . Wearing a stripy Proenza Schouler skirt and a black top.

UPDATE: New pictures show it was TV and not a fashion shoot.

Back to her reality show. 5.1million tuned in the US, and more than 1,000 commented on Perez Hilton. Comments ranged from "She’s as funny." to "She’s waaaay too plastic." Either way she is very much in the public's minds, which proves the theory that even bad press is good press, because it means someone is talking about you.

In the UK the ratings were 3.5million which is “average” for ITV. David Beckham's reality show/documentry is ITV on Tuesday 24 July. It would be interesting to compare ratings.

Pink Moon

We all love this Pink 'Moon' dress from the RM collection designed by Roland Mouret. Victoria was the first celebrity to have worn it long before it goes on sale in November.

The pink version of this dress is limited edition and will be sold only in upmarket New York department store Bergdorf Goodman - Posh is sure to have made shoppers from Sloane Street to Sunset Boulevard green with envy.

This dress has kept her one step ahead of every other red carpet hopeful. Posh has put her name down for all 21 items in Mouret's new collection - an order worth more than £30,000. That is small change to Mrs Beckham.

Blurring The Beckham Babies

I was asked today why I blur the Beckham's kids faces. In answer to that and so you all know, it is out of respect for the Beckham's and also I could have a legal case on my hands.

If you watch any interviews they both talk about protecting the kids privacy and that is what most Victoria Beckham fan sites do. The kids did not wish to be famous.

Even national newspapers like The Sun and the Mirror blur their faces.

I believe the only acceptable time was when David won La Liga and the kids were on brought onto the field.

Can't Play, Shouldn't Play

That is the verdict of one of the leading UK arthroscopic surgeons. Simon Moyes said, "David's type of injury does settle down quite quickly, after a six-week period, they can sometimes take up to 12 weeks however."

If this were true David would miss ALL but four of the last games of the MLS season. Somehow I DON'T think those in charge at LA Galaxy are willing to wait that long to see their money maker play.

Sexy Soccer Mom

Even though David is unlike to play anytime soon that did not stop a Beckham debut. Brooklyn Beckham showed off his ball skills on Tuesday at SoCal Soccer School, not that he needs a school when his dad own's one and is one of the best players in the world but it is nice to see him interact with other kids.

He is already showing great potential. I wonder if he can bend it like Daddy?



Victoria, looking very relaxed in a very familiar outfit which she wore back in February. But she still looks fabulous topping off her look in her Lanvin high-heeled shoes.

After practice they all went to TGI Friday's to get some grub. Just another normal family...minus the paparazzi.

Plane Crazy

David Beckham's trip to today for the MLS All-Star game in Denver will go ahead, despite air travel being partly blamed for the swelling in his ankle that will reduce his LA Galaxy debut on Saturday to a cameo.

Confirmation that Beckham will board a plane to Colorado is the clearest evidence yet of the commercial pressures on him and the ridiculousness of this whole situation.

Beckham was not due to play in the MLS match but will still be there in an ambassadorial role when rest and physio would have better improved his prospects of playing against Chelsea in the so-called World Series of Football (rolls eyes)— a game for which all 27,000 tickets have been sold. Surely his fitness is more important, no? Or am I just being naive?

The Beckham camp insisted on Tuesday night that he will come on as a substitute against Jose Mourinho's Chelsea men but there is virtually no chance of him starting. His damaged left ankle is said to be "better than it was when he played the last two games of the season for Real Madrid" but is still swollen.

'Coming To America' Verdict

OK, so I just finished watching Victoria's 'Coming To America' and I must say I am a tad disappointed. The show was ironic the whole way through. I love to see her funny side, but I felt I did not see the real Victoria.

Some of you will think I am not a real fan because I did not love it, but I am always honest when it comes to Victoria.

The critics were not nice. The New York Post said: "the show was an orgy of self-indulgence."

Her funniest lines were:

"I really thought my silicone was gonna fly out my armpit"

"I would rather die than wear ballerina pumps"

"It's exhausting being fabulous"

"They can do whatever they want to do (to the blow up doll) as long as I get my dress back"

"Aren't all homes are build from the ground up?"

Next week ITV will be showing David Beckham's documentary. Can't wait for that.

Red Hot Becks

It has been reported that David Beckham was in a foul mood when he faced the paparazzi last night, and who could blame him. The paparazzi tried to get pictures of Victoria's underwear, but David made sure his wife's modest was protected, what a hero. Check out this video to see how mad. He looks like he is going to knock out a few of those paps.


The Beckham's were leaving 'The Little Door' restaurant in Los Angeles on Monday evening, neither of them cracking a smile as they tried to get to their waiting SUV.

With his brow was furrowed, bright red cardigan and tie David still looked hot and Posh looked fabulous as always.

The couple met for dinner with Posh's co-Spice Girl, Mel B.

The Beckhams Book Updated

This book was first published back in October 2000. The writer Andrew Morton is bringing their story up to date. The book has been revised bringing their lives up to the present day.

It provides details on recent events including David's move from Real Madrid to LA Galaxy, the Rebecca Loos affair, the birth of their two youngest sons Romeo and Cruz, and Victoria's TV career.

New photos have been included also, but I wonder how new they could be to us who have seen everything.

The book is due to be on sale soon via Amazon and Waterstones in the UK.

Yellow Never Looked So Hot

Here is David Beckham finally training for his new team.

He stretches out his back and rests his ankle during an open practice on Monday at the LA Galaxy's Home Depot Center.

It is looking unlikely that David will play for the Galaxy on 21st July against Chelsea as he walked gingerly as it looks like he has not fully recovered from his ankle injury sustained during his last England game and aggravated during his last game at Real Madrid. The Galaxy -of course- are insisting that David will play.

Wake Up And Smell The Coffee

I am beginning to love LA, as we are being treated to daily pictures of David out visiting his local Coffee Bean on Santa Monica Boulevard. Here he is getting his cup of Joe. (that is LA speak for coffee) Do you think he is a Latte or a Cappuccino man?

Wearing shade, a tee, Havaianas and Abercrombie shorts....phew....he gets hotter and hotter.

Don't think this is a new thing for David. I have watched a documentary on him in which he gets a coffee from Starbucks and talks about not being able to start the day without one. The difference is it was not a big deal in Europe, it is in the US...apparently. Not that I am complaining.

I know where I am going for a coffee next time I am in LA. You?

Late Night For Becks

As I reported earlier David Beckham had his first training session with LA Galaxy yesterday but after just six hours sleep.

Becks and Victoria headed home at 2am from a night at the trendy Chateau Marmont restaurant with pop manager Simon Fuller.

David was still up at 8am for a three-hour session with his new team-mates — after picking up a coffee and chatting with fans.

An onlooker said: “They all seemed to gel really well together — there was a real buzz in the air. It looks like the Becks effect has already started to take hold.”

This explains the coffee.

LA Galaxy Plan World Tour

The owners of the Los Angeles Galaxy revealed yesterday they are planning to send David Beckham and the team on a lucrative world tour next year.

Galaxy chiefs have agreed to a money-spinning friendly in Sydney only six days after England's Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia in November but that is just the start of a global tour for Beckham.

Galaxy will also play his former club Real Madrid in Asia, a game that will cost the Americans close to £3million to convince the European giants to consider them as worthy opponents.

Kit firm Adidas, who are paying a huge slice of Beckham's record contract, are to begin negotiations with Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea about playing a series of prestigious friendlies in England next year. Tim Leiweke, president of the group that owns the Galaxy, said: "I think it's more than likely we're going to take a trip over to 'Jolly Old' England and do a game or two over there next year." He went onto say that, "If you can do six games a year, that can add significant value to the team."

Leiweke added: "We're mindful of giving David some rest so we're trying to be a little focused on making sure we don't overload the schedule this year.

"We're still focused on training in Asia and doing games there next year at the beginning of the season, and it's more than likely we're going to take a trip to England and do a game or two over there."

Leiweke added: "I've always felt the most important thing that David can do is prove to a lot of other players around the world that it's OK to come and play in this league."

I feel sorry for David. It looks like Leiweke is doing all he can just to expose David at every available opportunity. And to think, this is only the beginning.

When Victoria is asked in her TV show who is her least favourite celebrity she instantly answers Eddie Murphy. Then adds, "Beverly Hills c***."

Her PA asks if she would spit in Eddie Murphy's food and Posh says: "I'd spit in his food definitely."

Then she adds: "I'd chop his dick off too." A Hollywood observer said "It's a declaration of war. It's about Posh becoming a controversial figure in the States who is brave enough to slag off other big names."

The Beckham's First Family Shopping Trip

It looks like the Beckham's are settling in to their new surroundings.

This morning (LA time) the whole family went to Toys R' Us, no doubt to get new toys for the boys new bedrooms.

Brookyln was wearing his new LA Galaxy shirt, Romeo was so cool in this shades and Cruz was embracing his new country, by holding an American flag. How cute?

They left in their customized ‘DVB’ plated Bentley with initials VB etched into the seat headrests.

Victoria Beckham On Jay Leno

Last night in the US Victoria was on Jay Leno's The Tonight Show.

She said to Jay Leno that being outnumbered by her kids, Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 4, and Cruz, 2, has changed her perspective on parenting.

"We’ve got so many children now, I think it’s not about parenting anymore. It’s about crowd control. I feel that with so many, I’m constantly, ‘Don’t do this. Don’t do that. Don’t touch this. Don’t touch that.’"

As for expanding the crowd, Victoria, says she would love to have a daughter, hopefully in a few years’ time.

"If I’m blessed enough to have another baby at some point, that would be great. I’m really girly and I would love to dress a little girl up, but we’ll see what happens. Maybe in a few years."

Meanwhile, she and David are busy settling into their new L.A. home right down the
street from Jay, who extended an invite to the family to go for a spin in some of his collector’s vehicles, including a fire engine.

"My kids would think it’s so cool to go for a ride around in a fire engine."

I have been assured I won't get into trouble, so here is her interview.

So Victoria did not go for any of our choices of outfits on Jay Leno. Instead she wore this ensemble an Ivory top and a silk tweed skirt.

Shopping? Already??

Less than 24 hours in her new home city and Victoria Beckham is shopping already.

Not on Rodeo Drive, but at the Team LA Store at the Home Depot Center.

Victoria purchased seven replica David Beckham-branded "Number 23" LA Galaxy jersey tops and football balls.

Victoria said they were for her three sons and family. I guess she could not wait until she got them free.

At 18:30 UK time David Beckham's was introduced today in front of 11,000 screaming fans and over 700 members of the media to LA Galaxy.

Dressed in a smart grey suit and white tie, Beckham was beaming from his warm welcome at the press conference.

He held his white number 23 shirt at the end of the conference to rapturous applause from the crowd.

Beckham expressed his gratitude to the eager fans, some of whom, has waited hours in the LA heat, for a glimpse of their hero.

"First I would like to say how honoured I am, how many people came here to see me.

In my career, I played for the two biggest clubs in the world, Manchester United and Real Madrid, and I have played for 11 years for my country - and still am playing for my country - and I've always looked for challenges in my career and something exciting.

My family have now moved to Los Angeles. Something we are looking forward to, something we are very proud of - in our life everything is perfect," Beckham added.

Beckham slipped up when addressing the crowd, getting his "soccer" - the American name for football - confused with "football", which is what they call their helmetted version of the game.

"For me the most important thing is my family. The second most important thing is the foo... The soccer - I will get use to that. I'm sorry," he laughed.

He added that he believed that soccer could be as big in the States as it is elsewhere in the world. I doubt it but for his sake I hope so.



Victoria was also there looking stunning in a clinging pink dress. She arrived several moments before David, with Simon Fuller to greeted fans.

Has Beckham mania hit the United States and can be responsible for turning 'soccer' into a mainstream sport? Part of me hopes so, the other part wants him back in Europe playing at the highest level.

Coming To America Tonight In The US

You lucky American's get to see Victoria's documentary tonight. Us Brits have to wait until tomorrow at 9pm.

Becks In The USA

David and Victoria Beckham were greeted by screaming fans and a media frenzy as they arrived in Los Angeles early this morning 4am UK time.

The couple had booked out ALL 14 seats in first class to ensure their privacy during the trip.

The couple emerged holding hands, with David flashing a wide LA-style grin, from Los Angeles International Airport. You can see from his smile above he is very happy to be there.

They got into a waiting 4x4 to drive to their new home in Beverly Hills - 'the new Beckingham Palace'. It will be first time David would have even stepped foot inside his new home after seeing lots of photos from Victoria.

The kids arrived ahead of their parents who were accompanied by a police escort, and two car loads of security. They were spared the media scrum which would have been too frigtening.

The couple will have a short time to adjust to their new surroundings before David makes his first trip to the Home Depot Centre later today, where he will be officially unveiled as an LA Galaxy player.

While Victoria is scheduled to appear on Jay Leno's US chat show.

The 32-year-old will be paraded in front of an invited audience of season ticket holders and sponsors' guests in what has been billed as a "low-key" presentation ceremony.

Beckham will take to the stage in the 30-minute ceremony at the 27,000-capacity Home Depot Centre stadium alongside his new head coach Frank Yallop.

250,000 Beckham Galaxy Shirts Sold in the US

David Beckham has sold more than 250,000 shirts for his new club LA Galaxy in the US and he has not even played yet.

The club introduced a new, all white Real Madrid-esqe kit to coincide with Beckham's arrival and orders were flooding in before pictures of the strip had been released.

The shirts with his name and No23 on the back are being sold for £40/$80 each. Galaxy president Alexi Lalas said: "That is a great start. People were buying them unseen because we are rebranding.

There is an incredible interest in the Galaxy right now and in seeing the new Beckham jersey.

Before we couldn't compete, now, it is driven by Beckham and the coolness factor of a US team."

Beckham's presence at Real Madrid sold more than a million shirts for the club in his first six months there and they recouped his £24.5m transfer fee from Manchester United in the first season.

Beckham's 'Real' Wish To Stay In Madrid

David Beckham last night revealed how it broke his heart to quit Real Madrid.

He also revealed that he wanted to stay another three years in Spain.

David said "I felt capable of staying for longer at Real. I could have still played for three more seasons at the highest level.

"But after the club told me in January that they did not want to renew my contract, I took this decision.

The day we won the title with a 3-1 win over Real Mallorca my heart ached — but the decision was already taken.

I am going to continue to support Real Madrid and follow them next season."

This to me sounds like a man with a LOT of regret. Unfortunately it is too little, too late.

David appears on another front cover prior to his move to the US. This time it is for 'Sports Illustrated' a very popular magazine in the US.

The magazine asks:

Will He Change The Fate Of America Soccer?
Will it be the Americanization of David Beckham?
Or will it be the Beckhamization of America?

That's what MLS is hoping for with the arrival of the English superstar, who's bent on lifting the profile of soccer while blending in with his Galaxy mates.

He said: "The hype is there at the moment and will be there for maybe six months. But to keep the interest in soccer, that's going to be the challenge.

"I'm not silly enough to think I'm going to change the whole culture but I do have a belief that soccer can go to a different level and I'd love to be a part of that.

"People probably do think they're going to see me turn out and we'll win our first game 10-0. That's one thing I'm worried about.

"I'm not a player who will run past 10 players and score three or four goals. My game is about working hard, being a team player and assists.

"It's important for me to get to know the players and also for Victoria to get to know their wives and girlfriends. Hopefully it's going to be more like it was at United, where on Sundays we used to take our sons to other players' houses for a barbecue. I'm hoping it's going to be that sort of vibe."

Victoria and David Beckham might be moving near their friends Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in Los Angeles but Victoria is clear about one thing...it's not about religion.

The Beckhams have struck up a close friendship with Cruise and Holmes, who are both Scientologists. Cruise has been spotted watching David Beckham play for Real Madrid in Spain and the Posh and Katie have been photographed shopping and dining together.

In her recent interview with Matt Lauer, Victoria told him that religion was nothing to do with their friendship.

I am not sure that Tom Cruise has not mention Scientology yet, and if he has not he will. Of that you can be sure.

Spot The Difference

When David moved from Manchester United 4 years ago to Real Madrid his shirt went from Red to White. Now he has moved from Real Madrid's White Shirt to LA Galaxy's Yellow Shirt.

Well that is what we thought. LA Galaxy have had a jersey make over. Out goes that garish yellow and in comes a very familiar white shirt. So familiar in fact that it is hard to tell the difference in the Real and LA shirts.

Apart from the yellow stripe, the collar and of course the badge in the LA shirt they are exactly the same.

"I'm Just A Normal Girl" Says Victoria Beckham

In an interview yesterday Victoria Beckham insisted that she's "just a normal girl from London" who happens to be "living quite a surreal life" with her husband and their three young boys.

"It's funny. People really get to see what I'm really like. I have quite a dry sense of humor, which I hope is going to translate to Americans," Beckham said by phone from her London home where boxes were piled up ahead of the family's move Wednesday.

"I'm incredibly blessed and I wanted to show that to everybody."

Beckham said her family was "so excited" about relocating that her boys "actually think they're moving to Disneyland."

"We're going to be quite low-key," she said. "There are people that are much more famous in L.A. than David and myself. We're not out every night. We're probably a lot more boring than people think."

Simon Fuller is apparently putting together a reality TV which aims to search for the Spice Boys.

It will be a worldwide TV contest which would pick the dancers for the tour. They will all be chosen by public vote, with the Spice Girls on the judging panel.

Much like the show "So You Think You Can Dance" I would imagine.

'Coming To America', Comes To The UK

Finally, the news I have been waiting for. ITV have paid a whopping £250k to show Victoria Beckham’s reality show 'Coming To America'.

It will air in the US on July 16, and be on ITV1 the night after and I can not wait. I bet it will be very entertaining.

As I have reported before, Victoria is due to appear Jay Leno show on Friday and on the Today show before her programme airs. Hopefully we will get to see those to.

David And Victoria Beckham Enjoy A Day At The British Grand Prix

David and Victoria had the choice between 2 major sporting events in the UK and chose the Grand Prix at Silverstone this afternoon.

Honda boss Nick Fry explained how the Beckham's came to be at Silverstone on race day.

"It came about because our marketing agency is a company called 19 Entertainment, who also look after the Beckham's," he said.

Is there anything Simon Fuller does not have a hand in? Football, Music, Television, Fashion and now Cars.

The Beckham's were hanging out with British Formula 1 driver Jenson Button wishing him luck before the race as he shows them around his domain.

They wore matching leather jackets reminiscent of the days when they used to deliberately dress alike.



I miss her long hair. I hope these are not the last pictures we see of David and Victoria in Europe.

The Beckham's Return To London Before Heading To The US

The Beckham's fly to London on Saturday after a relaxing break at their home in the South of France.

David and Victoria boarded their private jet with their 3 sons, in what will be the penultimate stop before they say goodbye to Europe ahead of their move to the US.

David's first expected game for LA Galaxy is on 21st July. He is due to be presented to the LA Galaxy crowd on 13th July and start training with the team on 16th July.

Victoria looks gorgeous wearing her Lanvin shoes, boobtube dress and carrying her trusty Hermes bag.

David continues to sport his dark beard after he rejected a renewal of his contract with Gillette (he was not allowed to have a beard whilst under contract).

What a beautiful couple they are.

Victoria's Ugly Cameo

As I reported a little while ago Victoria was very keen to land a part in the hit US show Ugly Betty.

A deal has now been signed for her cameo role - and she will being paid £70,000 to do it appearing in two episodes - banking around £35,000 an episode for her work. Nice work if you can get it.

Filming is due to start at the end of this month but her acting abilities will not be stretched as she will be playing herself.

The idea came from actor Eric Mabius, who plays Mode editor Daniel Meades in the show. He met Posh at a London party last month and persuaded her to sign up.

Dear Diary

David Beckham is planning to shoot a TV diary following his progress with the LA Galaxy.

The show called 'David Beckham's Soccer USA' will be shown in the States and on Five in the UK.

The show's producer Bob Massie said: "David's arrival has taken US Major League Soccer on to an international footing.

"Until now there was no way a global audience could easily access the action. David's show will do exactly that."

In other Beckham TV news ESPN will cover David Beckham’s Major League Soccer debut on multiple platforms on Saturday night, July 21. Coverage will kick off at 6 p.m. EDT with “SportsCenter” and an extra half-hour at 7 p.m. that will focus exclusively on Beckham. It will be followed at 7:30 p.m. by 'David Beckham: New Beginnings,' an hour-long documentary.

It looks like David will be all over our boxes over the next few week and I CAN NOT wait.

LA Galaxy's New 07/08 Home Kit

This is rebranded Adidas LA Galaxy home shirt that David Beckham will be wearing for his new club. Very much like Real Madrid, don't you think?

The look of the Galaxy's new team kit, which were to be unveiled next week with the bright-lights of David's arrival. It had been guarded by the team and Adidas with Fort Knox-like security.

The new team kit was inadvertently posted for a brief time last weekend on adidas.com before the mistake was noticed and the item was pulled by Sunday.

Adidas, Galaxy and Major League Soccer, who have spent months planning the details on how best to maximize the impact of Beckham's arrival, have been scrambling since to keep the new look under wraps.

I guess they did not try hard enough.

Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham Talk About Insecurities

Jennifer Lopez appears on the cover of US Glamour's August edition. She talks about her friendship with Victoria and it is good to see they are still very much friends after Jennifer's Elle UK March interview in which she describes Victoria as a "sweetie".

Glamour: It's absolutely true-as women, we can feel so insecure.
JL: I was just talking about this with Victoria Beckham the other day. She said, "People would never guess you're insecure. Are you? Because I know I am." It was like she had to hear it from me. And I said, "Yeah, of course I am." She said, "But you seem so confident." And I said, "Because I am confident! It doesn't mean I don't have my moments. But you have to remember the value of your individuality-that you have something special and different to offer that nobody else can." She said, "Oh, I love hearing this. What you're saying is so great!" It was really sweet.

Glamour: It means a lot to hear someone like you say you have bouts of insecurity. It's also surprising to hear that this is the kind of thing you discuss with Victoria Beckham!

Beckham Ends Contract With Gillette

David Beckham has ended a lucrative sponsorship deal with Gillette, despite the offer of a new £3 million contract.

In the future David aims to boost his already huge earnings power by pushing for a profit-share agreement in his marketing and sponsorship deals.

A large part of the £125 million, five-year deal signed with LA Galaxy in January was based David receiving a percentage of the revenue that the club makes from increased shirt sales, season-ticket sales and marketing contracts. It is understood that Gillette, was willing to offer the star only a flat fee in a 12-month deal. It signed him to a three-year deal in 2004, but this agreement ran out on June 30.

Now that Brand Beckham is moving to the States they will be looking for bigger more profitable products to promote. I am sure with Simon Fuller the sky is the limit on possiblities for the future.

David Beckham married Victoria Adams on this day, 4 July 1999 at Luttrellstown Castle, Ireland.

David's then teammate Gary Neville was the best man, Louise Adams, Victoria's sister was the bridesmaid and the couple's son Brooklyn, then four months old, was the ring bearer.

Victoria's wedding dress was a beautiful champagne coloured custom made dress in satin designed by Vera Wang.

David's wore an ivory and cream suit. Both later changed into purple outfits for the wedding reception. It has been reported that Vera Wang designed them.

David Beckham's Schedule Gets Longer

LA Galaxy have added to David Beckham's already heavy schedule a one-off friendly against Australian A-League side Sydney FC later this year.

Injured Beckham will try to combine his international career with his new challenge in Major League Soccer which in my opinion is trying to stretch David too far as they look to capitalize on their new player.

In November David has 3 games in 9 days in 3 countries. Washington on the 17th November. Then is set to play in England's final Euro 2008 game against Croatia in their at Wembley just six days prior to the Sydney game.

The Football Federation Australia (FFA) have guaranteed the England midfielder, who will officially join the Galaxy on July 13, will play during the match at Sydney's Telstra Stadium on Nov 27.

"We've got certain guarantees in place that he will be playing," said FFA chief executive Ben Buckley.

"If David happens to get injured or feels ill, the match can be postponed to a later date."

P Diddy Excited About The Spice Girl Reunion

P Diddy told The Sun after his performance at the Diana concert that he was excited about the Spice Girls reunion.

He said: "It’s exciting. They were so big all over the world, especially in America. The Baby one with the blonde hair was always my favourite back in the day, although Victoria’s pretty hot now." I guess he saw the boobie pictures.

Posh told the Sun, no doubt with her tongue firmly in her cheek that, "Everyone keeps going on about my t**s — but they’re only a 32B." You gotta laugh. She knows how to poke fun at herself.

Who Wore Roberto Cavalli Better?

It looks like Kelly Rowland was inspired by the Roberto Cavalli corset that Victoria wore to the Glamour Awards in London which they both attended.

The following day Kelly wore the same corset in animal print to dinner at Nobu Berkeley in London.
