Gooooooooaallll !!!!!!!! Number 2 For David Beckham

David Beckham scored the first goal from a wicked free-kick tonight on 32 minutes against Genoa.

The game ended up being a 1-1 draw, but David's free-kick would have no doubt impressed England coach Fabio Capello, who was watching in the stands.

David, forever the gentleman celebrated his goal by running over to the subs bench and shakes his hand.

He has to stay now right?

According to Tim Leiweke, president and CEO of LA Galaxy the answer is NO.

"David is under contract to the Galaxy, and I had a good, straightforward conversation with him before he left and he loves it in LA."

"He wants a better Galaxy team, we're going to have a better team and David has no interest in going."

"We have a contract, we have a handshake, his kids go to school here, end of story. There is no story. He's going to return to the Galaxy."

I'm so happy and such an important goal as Capello was watching.
But reading the comment of Tim Leiweke brings me near to cry...

I've always been a huge LA fan, so I will be sad to see him go. But, I've watched all of his starts with Milan and he is obviously so much more content. His level of play is so much higher, he has to stay.

Mark you are so right.

He really wants to stay that is evident. I hope he can get out of his contract. I really do.

Congratulation to David David is happy in Galaxy ???????? Lies, in fact, David said in an interview with Corriere della sera, which play in MLS for him is a frustantion. He is happy in AC Milan are convinced that he understood that it was a big mistake to go away from European football. The Galaxy will hold David only to exploit the image of him and this is sad, if David will return to the Galaxy, he leave his heart in Milan, I hope that Victoria, help David make the right decision. The MLS does not deserve David He is worthy of European football

Yay, I'm really happy for him. But I get the sense that it could get ugly with LA.

Loredana, I agree. He is wasting his time at Galaxy and deserve to play European football.

Galaxy are a bottom of the MLS, David can't save them. He has tried for 2 years, it has not worked so it is time for him to come home - to Europe that it.

Meg, I also agree, this is going to get very ugly.

I just hope he goes with his heart, because it is clear he wants to stay.

David obviously has a lot of potential left in him that is being wasted in LA since the Galaxy sucks bricks! I find it an insult for David to play here in US and not in Europe with the legends. I really would love for him to stay there and play.

i agree i liked wqhen he played in the states because i could go to games but i would much rather see him play for a real club again.. and i hope the rumours about victoria not wanting to move the kids to a non english speaking country are just rumours and they wont stop him from staying in italy

i respect what everyone is saying and i agree david deserves to play at the highest level of football which is european foootball and he can achieve that with ac milan.he looks very happy playing for ac milan and is doing so well and proving those people who think he has lost his potentail that he has still got alot more to give.its briliant that he has scored to goals for acmilan in just four games.the goal was great and he looked just delighted to have scored.he is doing very well and is returning to what we are used to seeing him do.but remember when talks of him leaving real madrid emerged and so many clubs wanted him in european football but he chose la galaxy.he did it because he wanted to make football more popular in america and improve its standards their and so far he has made football more popular as the glaxay game attendence has increased since his arrival.he made the sacrfice to go to a place where football is not seen as such an important sport and less advance and that is something only a great player can do.he has said that it will not happen in 5 years but will take longer and he wants to help in that and be a part of it.so i don't think that he will want to turn back on what he said.also i don't think that la galaxy will let him go as they want him to stay alot.even i would love to see david come to ac milan as he would get to play at the ability he deserves to and will be able to play for england more which will be so good.but i strongly feel it ios just not going to happen as they have only moved to la recently and moving the whole family to italy would not be so good for the kids.i guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens but atleast he is having a great time and playing so well.i wish him all the luck.thanks for posting
