Hi everyone,
On Sunday the Galaxy played San Jose Earthquakes in Oakland. Having won our previous two games against them this season we were confident going into the game, but found ourselves two goals down before we really got going. I was pleased with how we fought back though. I think we showed great character and I was happy with my assist for our first goal, so it was very disappointing to concede right at the end of the match. Congratulations to the Earthquakes though. They kept going right until the end and got their reward.
On the plus side, we were much better than our previous game against FC Dallas and to fight back so well away from home shows we’re moving in the right direction.
We’re up against Chivas USA next and of course the Home Depot Center is home for both of us, so neither side has an advantage, but the Galaxy will be going all out for the win.
I also attended the Teen Choice Awards 2008 on Sunday night in LA and I was honoured to receive the award for Choice Male Athlete. Having only been in the States for just over a year, to be in the same category as Tiger Woods and Kobe Bryant was brilliant but to win was amazing.
Take care,
David
