Hello everyone,We travelled to Washington D.C. to play D.C. United on Sunday afternoon and felt confident going into the game and, despite going a goal down early on, we managed pull a goal back and get into the game. Credit to D.C. though, they are a very good team and were better than us on the day, particularly in the second half. Obviously it was very hot out there, which didn’t help, but we just didn’t play well enough.
It was a great atmosphere though and it was great to see so many fans at the games. It’s brilliant that people support the Galaxy, but we still need to win games, that’s the most important thing.
I’ve also been visiting my US Academy recently and watched the kids at various sessions. I always enjoy popping along and seeing how things are going. I like to get involved as much as possible too and we had a great question and answer session with the kids one afternoon, which is always fun.
It really is so rewarding to see so many kids enjoying learning about soccer.
