Former England captain David Beckham is one of the stars of a major new advertising campaign due to break in the UK over the weekend.
Part of the adidas ‘Impossible is Nothing’ series, the animated ads show how a number of top sports stars overcame great adversity to triumph in their sporting areas and were drawn by the stars themselves.
In his own words, David Beckham tells how he braved death threats from fans after the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
Saying how it was the lowest moment of his career he describes how he turned it all around and went to an all-time high when he scored the goal against Greece that took England to the World Cup finals.
The adidas campaign also features Jonah Lomu, who came back from a kidney transplant to play rugby again and 20-time pole vaulting record breaker Yelena Isinbayeva.
