David Beckham improved his chances of winning a 100th England cap after coming through Galaxy's pre-season friendly with FC Dallas unscathed in front of Fabio Capello's right-hand man.
David is hoping to prove his fitness ahead of England's friendly against France on March 26, having been left out by coach Capello for his first match in charge against Switzerland last month.
David showed no ill-effects from the ankle injury that plagued his initial season with Galaxy last year.
"It was just like a Premiership game and games I've seen with Fabio Capello," Beckham said at the post match conference. "Baldini came to see how my fitness is and my form is".
"Some people might think that adds a little added pressure, but from my side, there was no added pressure there. I just had to perform, play the balls I could play and work hard".
To counter reports that he wants to return to the UK, David also said, "One of the guys on the team texted me and said you’re leaving and apparently you’re not happy, nothing could be further from the truth. I’ve said from the moment I arrived everybody’s been great, not just from the soccer side but from the family side. The children are happy in the school and Victoria is happy living in LA".

OMG FC did you see David's new tattoo? It's on TMZ.com and its from this game. It's a writing in chinese characters, maybe he got it on his trip there. I wouldn't like it if he got a new tattoo without VB by his side. I thought these things were their "thing" that they do together. :(
