dVb Jeans Discounted

Victoria Beckham's jeans are currently being sold for under £35/$69.99 in shops like Loemanns in Reseda, California.

The same jeans were for sale for upwards of £145/$289 in Beverly Hills boutiques such as Kitson and Fred Segal.

Rock & Republic, who Victoria left to start working on her own dVb brand have claimed that Victoria jeans are "seriously overpriced" and made from "cheap fabrics".

A spokesman for Robert de Keyser, owner of distributor Dekeyser Fashions, said: "The new Beckham range appears to be seriously overpriced for a line which is made, unlike other premium denims, in China out of a cheap fabric".

"Whatever Victoria learned about denim from working with Rock & Republic appears to have been lost."

Victoria, forever dignified refused to be dragged into the row.

Her spokesman said at the time: "Victoria had a happy working relationship with Rock & Republic and she's not going to start being negative about them now."

I don't think Victoria has anything to worry about, these particular jeans are last seasons stock, she has a whole new range coming out. This is not uncommon for old stock to appear in these types of stores, but as it is Victoria Beckham, this story is being made a bigger deal.

Victoria's jeans are NOT manufactured in Canada! Im from Toronto, and when she did her appearace at Holt Renfrew, the write ups the next day all stated that her denim/jeans are manufactured in Winnipeg! Which is in Canada!
This is her FIRST line, and she's obviously coming out with more- people judge tooooo quickly! Im sure her next line will be an improvement, and lets hope people are willing to reconsider their original opinions and criticism.

I don't understand why all the other sites are making a big deal about this. That store always has discount premium jeans, they have True Religion and even Rock & Republic, too.

I agree that it's a non-story, most designer lines end up in specialist designer stores because they don't sell out completely too. This store deals with many top brand designer lines like Valentino and D&G. These jeans are a year old, everyone knows that designer lines expire quickly through each season, unless they are a vintage collection. There seems to be a few people trying to undermine her in the industry, most likely it is just jealous invididuals with an axe to grind.

That quote is pretty old but it's just business, she's competition now and he very well knows they're not made in China.

Good to hear about last season's line, I might go look for some since I never buy something as basic as jeans over $60. I may be persuaded to go $10 over my range. lol

Rock and Republic used Victoria far more than she used them, they used her for publicity and to get more mainstream fans and even had the audacity to not even put her dVB R&R jeans in either of the 2 fashion shows that she attended in LA. And then they backstab her later, no wonder she left to start her own company.

She has said many times that the jeans use the best Japanese denim and they are manufactured by hand in Canada, not China.

If I was a girl, I would probably buy those jeans, but seriously, those jeans are way too overpriced. But for Victoria Beckham, I would buy it. I've been buying her sunglasses and those ones are worth it.

the press will do anything to pull her down but i hope someone come out and says this is last seasons.

A friend of mine has a few pairs of Victoria's Jeans and the fabric does appear to be of less quality...(compairing them to True Religion which have the same price ranges)anyways, whatever Vicky does is great to me =]

OOPS! My first comment i totally meant to put that they are NOT manufactured in CHINA- thats what i meant!! They are made in Canada, in winnipeg, in a family owned denim factory that has been in business for years!
