"Bobby Moore Would Want David Beckham To Beat His Record", Says His Widow

David Beckham is due to equal the World Cup-winning Sir Bobby Moore's 108-cap record for an outfielder in tonight's friendly in Spain.

Moore’s widow Stephanie recently said "Bobby would be the first to congratulate Beckham, shake his hand and say ‘Well done, son. Now go out and beat the record’".

"I don’t know David Beckham but he seems still to have that schoolboy passion for football, the way Bobby did".

"It is an incredible achievement. There are more England games now but it is more physical and the regimes more demanding, so it is an amazing feat."
