David Beckham Is Not In The England Squad

David Beckham was not selected for the England squad ahead of Wednesday friendly against Germany.

This is not a surprise considering he is not playing club football, as the MLS season has ended.

This means David misses the chance to equal Bobby Moore's 108 caps - a record for an outfield player.

I hope he does get a chance to surpass this record.

  1. Hi FC,

I'm really sad but have expected that. I will travel to Berlin to see the match on Wednesday. Hopefully I will get to see John Terry instead.

  3. i think hes trying to give the younger players a chance as it is only a friendly, and many other regulars were left out of the squad

on a side note: i know we were all speculating the whole beckham/madonna dinner and people.com has confirmed that while they had dinner with marc jacobs, madonna was not a part of their dinner party although she was a few tables away with a music producer

  4. I don't think this is the last we see of David. He will have other opportunities to surpass Bobby career caps... Just not Saturday.
