Victoria Beckham - A Year In Pictures

The Queen B also had a fantastic year.

She was the face of Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 campaign at the beginning of the year and towards the end she was seen as a respected designer in her own right.

She landed many magazine covers this year, including the coveted UK Vogue in April and Harper's Bazaar.

Victoria had a birthday party in April which was attended by Eva Longoria, Kate Beckinsale, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Sir Elton John, Usher, Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale, Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Heidi Klum.

Victoria on occasion dressed down on a few times, which is something we had not see often before.

We saw Victoria purchase her now favourite Chanel bag from Resurrection back in April.

Victoria worked hard to promote her dVb jeans collection in many stores in the UK, US and Canada and many of you went along to meet her.

In September Victoria shocked us all with a new hair cut. It took some of us - me - a while to like it.

She also launched her own dress collection this same month, which when it went on sale in December was a HUGE success and sold out everywhere.

David Beckham - A Year In Pictures

David Beckham had a GREAT year.

He returned to the England squad back in March and also finally achieved his 100 England cap, we could not have been more proud.

David gave back by visiting leukemia patients at Xinhua Hospital in Shanghai and becoming a UNICEF ambassador and visiting Sierra Leone.

David became a HUGE fan of the Lakers, and his boys did too.

In June David gave us part 2 of his Armani campaign, much to our delight.

In August David kick started the 2012 London Olympic games with Leona Lewis.

I got very close to David Beckham this year at the Spice Girls concert, a memory I will keep forever.

Towards the end of the year David joined AC Milan on loan. Most of us are hoping it will become a permanent move.

After 9 years of marriage, the Beckham's are still going strong.

They became the Hollywood couple after only being in LA for a year.

The biggest occasion was in May the couple arrived at the Costume Institute Gala, but they also walked the red carpet at the ESPY Awards.

Separately they are fantastic, together they are amazing.

A lot of you have been complaining about Victoria Beckham's style recently. Some have even used the word 'Boring'.

While I disagree that her style is boring, I will say that I do miss the more colourful side of her wardrobe.

I think it is great that she looks so fantastic in her own collection, but I would love to see her wear other designers too.

David Beckham On Day 2 Of Training With AC Milan

Here is David Beckham on the second day of an AC Milan winter training camp in Dubai.

It is hard to see, but David is wearing specially-designed boots bearing both the Milan club crest and the English national flag.


The Hebrew tattoo sits under his bicep while another design, possibly a cherub, can be seen inside his upper arm.

You may remember that David first got the right arm tattooed back in January this year.

It has been revealed today by the Sunday Mirror that contrary to reports, Victoria actually helped her husband not only to choose the words, but the design of the new tattoo's.

David Beckham unveiled his new tattoo whilst training in Dubai today.

The latest design can be seen tucked on the inside of Beckham's already heavily-inked left arm.

The design - created by Beckham's regular artist Louis Malloy - is a Hebrew translation of 'My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart.'

Many outlets are reporting that Victoria is furious with the new tattoo, but I don't see why.

David Beckham Trains With AC Milan In Dubai

A very hot and deliciously sweaty David Beckham trained for the first time with his new AC Milan team mates in Dubai this afternoon.

The football giants arrived yesterday to start their winter training camp in the Gulf emirate.

They will complete their training camp with a Dubai Football Challenge match against German team Hamburg.

It has been reported that AC Milan arrived in Dubai under armed guard.

It is believed the security is second only to that used to protect George W Bush in his trip to the United Arab Emirates last year.

AC Milan Arrive In Dubai

AC Milan's global stars arrived in Dubai today for their Emirates-sponsored training Camp.

The squad of 26 players includes AC Milan club captain, Paolo Maldini who at the age of 40 is still in sensational shape. Also in the squad is David Beckham, who will certainly be looking forward to getting acquainted with his new teammates in training over the coming nine days.

Football fans will have the chance to watch all their favourite stars in training with two of the AC Milan sessions open to the public. These will take place at Al Nasr Club on December 30 from 5-6.30pm and on January 2 from 9.30am-12pm.

The AC Milan players will also be in action on January 6 when they take on Hamburg SV in the Emirates and DTCM-sponsored Dubai Football Challenge which takes place at the new Emirates sports venue, The Sevens on the Al Ain Road.

Regular ticket prices are AED 100 for adults and AED 50 for children under 12, while premier tickets sell for AED 200.

David Beckham Gets A New Tattoo?

Although there is no photographic evidence yet, it has been reported that David Beckham has had another tattoo on his left arm.

The tattoo is a proverb believed to be taken from the Bible and it reads:

"My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart."

David has never been shy about showing off his body artwork in the past, so hopefully we will get to see it soon.

'David Beckham Could Play Until He Is 40' Says AC Milan Doctor

David Beckham is so fit he could play for England for another six years - according to a top medic at new club AC Milan.

Doctor Jean-Pierre Meerseeman is convinced David could still be playing at the top level until he is 39 and play right up until the 2014 World Cup.

Meerseeman said: "Beckham could go on for another five or six years."

"His cardiovascular readings are very good. His basic fitness is excellent. All he needs to do now is to alter his training programme slightly."

Meerseeman’s methods helped Alessandro Costacurta play until he was 41, while Paolo Maldini is still playing at 40.

Meerseeman says David is not as fit as the other Milan yet but will be in less than three weeks.

He added: "We test and re-test our players in every aspect of body and mind."

"David is behind the others right now in terms of match fitness. It will take 15-20 days to reach the required level."

David Beckham Ends Pepsi Deal

After 10 years advertising Pepsi, David Beckham will not be renewing his contract, which was reportedly worth £2 million a year.

David said "I have nothing but good memories of my association with Pepsi."

"I've played a gladiator, a cowboy, a surfer, and worked alongside Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez as well as some of the biggest names in world football."

"I hope everyone who has seen the work enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it."

It is understood the end of the Pepsi deal will leave Beckham more time to focus on other products.

A PepsiCo spokesman said: "Pepsi is proud to have worked with David Beckham for 10 years, during which time he has been among the most successful and inspiring international footballers of all time."

"Our partnership has been one of the most enduring in global brand history and David will always be part of our Pepsi family."

"David's football legacy will live on and everyone at Pepsi will continue to be as passionate about his success as we have been over the last 10 years."

Personally I found the ads to always be very cheesy, so I am not too disappointed with this announcement.

The Beckhams Dine At Claridges On Christmas Eve

I had a feeling the Beckhams would be out today, so I was not surprised to see these cute pictures of the family enjoying lunch at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant at Claridges today in London.

The boys look so cute dressed up in their smart clothes like their dad, whilst Victoria looks cute with another one of her designs, of a white blouse with a long black pencil skirt, black heels and a cute black bow in her hair.

Hi Everyone,

Merry Christmas!

Well, it’s been another amazing year.

I began 2008 by training with Arsenal to keep my fitness levels high and while I was back in England I was honoured to receive the Football Writers Tribute Award.

I also met the Prime Minister Gordon Brown and showed him around my Academy, which was a very proud moment for me and the coaching staff.

Next, as part of my UNICEF work, I visited Sierra Leone to try and highlight child mortality rates in the developing world. It was a very humbling experience, but an inspiring one.

Before the end of January I travelled to Brazil to announce The David Beckham World of Sport, which I hope will give Brazilian children the same access to top-class facilities and coaching as they get at my London and LA Academies.

After playing our pre-season friendlies in Hawaii and the Far East the MLS season got underway in March, but not before I was called up to the England squad for the first time under Fabio Capello. I still find it hard to believe that I won my 100th cap with England. It’s such an amazing honour that I am incredibly proud of and despite losing to France I will always remember the match in a positive light.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a win in our first MLS match of the season either, but in our following game against San Jose Earthquakes I scored my first MLS goal, which was fantastic! Despite the win we just couldn’t get on a run of good results, even though we did top the Western Conference for a while, and our form suffered, so in the end we didn’t make the playoffs, which was disappointing.

As the year went on I continued to be called up to the England squads and although I didn’t start in all the games, I did get to captain the team again in the friendly against Trinidad & Tobago, which was a great honour. I’ve said before I’d never turn my back on England and as long as the manager wants me and feels I can do a job then I’m happy to be part of things and pass on my experience where needed.

Away from football, I was delighted to part of the Olympics handover ceremony in Beijing in August. I’m a keen supporter of the Olympics coming to London in 2012. It will have an incredible impact on the East of London and the country, it is definitely time we had the chance to host a global event again.

Now Christmas has arrived again and I’m really looking forward to spending time with my family and enjoying the holiday before I experience some time in Italy with AC Milan early next year and keep my fitness levels up before heading back to the Galaxy in time for the start of the 2009 MLS season in the spring.

So, I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Victoria Beckham Allergic To Pasta?

It has been reported that Victoria Beckham is allergic to pasta, declaring it "kryptonite".

I personally do not think Victoria would be so rude as to insult Italy's national dish, but "The Daily Star" - as if she would ever talk to that down-market newspaper - has quoted her as saying: "It's not that I avoid carbs, I'm allergic to pasta. It's like my kryptonite.

"I feel like I can't digest it properly and it makes me feel ill."

An AC Milan fan said: "Pasta is our national dish. How can you live in Italy and not try some? From the look of her she could do with tucking into spaghetti!"

MTV Italia news spoke of the Beckham's arrival in Milan, and they of course talked about Victoria shopping.

The bag is part of the D&G custom-made Crocodile Collection.

This line of luxury bags is special because each is custom made to the owners requirements. The bag is characterized with a metal label inside which is engraved with the owners name, which shows the uniqueness of the piece.

The collection was available from September and has a 3 months waiting list.

Is anyone else thinking Victoria designed her bag to kinda look like a Kelly bag?

It has been reported that her bag cost around £40,000.

Victoria Beckham Lunches With Dolce & Gabbana

Victoria Beckham wasted no time meeting with old friends Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in Milan today.

Stepping out on the second day of her stay in Italy she left the Four Seasons Hotel to grab lunch with design duo, wearing dress no. 6 from her collection, with a faux fur shrug, Louboutin heels, her now trademark chunky bangles and a black crocodile Dolce & Gabbana bag, which I really dislike.

I can not wait for Milan Fashion Week.

VIDEO: David Beckham's Sky Sports Interview With Ilaria D'Amico

Just as I thought. Those rumours about Victoria Beckham banning her husband from being interview with Ilaria D'Amico was false. When will people give Victoria a break?

In his interview David talked openly about his wife and family and told Ilaria that he and his wife made 'joint decisions' although sometimes he wore the trousers and sometimes Victoria did.

The former Manchester United star said:'Of course I always take advice from my wife.

"We are united and we take decisions together. We have three children and we always discuss things."

"Sometime she decides things and sometimes I decide but we try and do things together."

"Victoria has always loved Milan fashion week. She loves it here, she has very good taste."

"We have checked out some of the schools in Milan in case we decide to bring the children over but we decided to give them some stability and will stay in LA. It's just until March."

Ilaria then laughed as she asked Beckham he if had learnt any Italian and he said: "Buona sera (good evening), er, bellismo. That's about it but I will try and learn some more."

Afterwards Ilaria said: "David was very nice. He was very gentle and very agreeable. He was not a diva at all."

"He told me that Milan was a beautiful city and that he would be living here and any future decisions about the family coming to Milan would be taken together."

"He told me that for the time being the children would be staying in LA with Victoria. I have followed David's career for years and he is a wonderful player with a wonderful right foot."

I don't know about you, but this is that fact that they are looking at schools in Milan sounds very interesting and promising.

Yeaaaahhh...Victoria Beckham wore my favourite dress from her Spring 2009 collection.

I am still very upset that this dress did not fit me when I tried it on.


I was looking back at old photo's and I noticed that the key to walking in Victoria's dresses is to unzip the dress from the bottom.

The Beckham's Dine Out In Milan

The beautiful Beckham's looked gorgeous as they left the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan tonight as they headed out for dinner at Da Giannino restaurant.

He was as handsome as always wearing a 3 piece charcoal suit, whilst Victoria was wearing dress No. 8 from her collection, with her YSL heels and her Balenciaga clutch.

Victoria Beckham Checks Out Of The Westing Palace Hotel

These pictures are of Victoria Beckham leaving the Westing Palace Hotel in Milan earlier today.

Apparently the Beckhams had a reservation at the Westing, which is the AC Milan corporate hotel, but Victoria did not like accommodation, so they went to the Four Seasons instead.

I love her and the fact that she will not lower her standards.

Victoria & David Beckham Leaving The Four Season Headed To The San Siro Stadium

Here are some snaps of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham earlier today as they left the Four Seasons Hotel, were they staying this weekend, as they headed to the San Siro Stadium where David was be presented as an AC Milan player.

David was wearing a smart pinstripe suit, a white shirt and skinny black tie and Victoria wore one of her dresses complete with black YSL heels, gloves and her vintage Chanel handbag.

David Beckham was presented with his jersey by the Vice President of AC Milan Adriano Galliani at the press conference today.

The videos are taking forever to load, but I will hopefully post them sometime today or tomorrow.

David Beckham Gets The No. 32 Shirt

As much as David Beckham wanted the 23 jersey, he had to make do with the reversed 32, not the 75 as first reported.

The shirt was unveiled at the press conference. I will bet this shirt will be a HUGE seller. I know I am going to get one.

The press conference has just finished in which David was unveiled as an AC Milan player.

David impressed everyone by starting the press conference speaking in Italian.

An Italian journalist then asked how Becks would manage to juggle football with showbusiness.

He replied: "I've got a very down-to-earth family. Football means everything to me. It always has and it always will do."

"Going to America was a challenge for me. But I always said I would miss playing football at the very highest level. I need to be playing top-flight football to keep myself fit."

It will take a while to upload the press conference, because there was so much of it.

Victoria was there, looking gorgeous in all black. I particularly loved her make-up.

David Beckham Passes Medical

After arriving into town, David Beckham was at a medical clinic in nearby Appiano Gentile to undergo medical tests.

The family will then be leaving Milan on Monday for the holidays, but David is to return a week later on December 29 so that he can fly out with the AC Milan squad to Dubai for their winter training camp.

The Chief Executive of Serie A said "David Beckham will stay with Milan up to 9 March. The last match is Milan v Atalanta on 8 March. I don't want to delude anyone."

David will conclude his weekend in Milan by saluting fans at the San Siro tomorrow night when the AC Milan play Udinese. He will then head back to London.

The press conference is about to start. Once I record it I will upload it onto You Tube as soon as I can.

David Beckham Lands In Milan

At 10.15am David Beckham landed at Terminal 2 of Milan Malpensa. He was taken to another location for his medical test.

As David left the airport, he told AC Milan TV: "I am honoured to be here and to play for one of the most successful clubs in the world. I am overcome, very overcome, I want to train hard and be part of the team."

"I want to enjoy myself in these few months. I have played for the biggest club in England, the biggest club in Spain and now I want to play for the biggest club in Italy."

David Beckham's Presentation To The Media

David Beckham's presentation to the media will take place today at 7 pm - local time - at the San Siro stadium.

Reports in the Italian media suggested that Sky Sports Italia journalist Ilaria D'Amico would not be allowed to speak to Beckham as he arrives in Italy for a loan stint with club AC Milan due to Victoria's jealousy.

However, representatives for the couple dismissed the rumours, saying: "It's absolute rubbish that Victoria banned the interview. The truth is we didn't want to do a TV presentation just with Sky, we wanted it to be open to all the press."

"David will do an interview with Ilaria and other presenters after meeting all the press together."

David Beckham To be Unveiled As An AC Milan Player Tomorrow

David and Victoria are due to arrive in Milan tomorrow where he will be officially unveiled as AC Milan's new three month loan signing.

And the Italian media are reporting that Victoria has drawn the line at sexy Sky Sports presenter Ilaria D'Amico interviewing husband David Beckham as part of his unveiling to the public.

The couple are due in Milan tomorrow and they will be shown around the city by Victoria's close friends gay fashion due Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

For his three month stay in Milan Beckham is said to have been given the £1000 a night Penthouse suite of the Chedi Hotel, close to AC Milan's San Siro stadium.

During his stay in Italy Beckham will be eligible for ten Serie A matches as well as two UEFA games, should AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti decide to name him to the European squad.

AC Milan To Offer David Beckham A Two Year Deal

AC Milan are set to offer David Beckham a two-year contract if his loan spell with the Italian giants goes well.

David will join Milan at their winter camp in Dubai - as they take a Christmas break from Serie A - and he should make his debut against Roma on January 11.

Beckham is scheduled to return to LA for the start of the MLS season in March, but Milan are looking at the possibility of signing the England international until 2010.

It has been reported that David's contract with the Galaxy has a get-out clause that comes into force in 2009, and as the club had the worst record in the MLS this year they may feel Beckham's base salary of £4.5million is difficult to justify despite bumper crowds home and away.

A move back to Europe would suit Beckham who is desperate to remain part of the England squad until the 2010 World Cup finals.

As always this is speculation. We will have to wait to see what actually happens.

The Beckhams Land In London

The Beckhams arrived at London's Heathrow Airport this afternoon.

David and Victoria made the perfect pair by arriving in matching trilby hats.

Victoria wore her her hat with her Stella McCartney coat and grey boots while her husband opted for a leather jacket and jeans.

They are in the capital for Christmas prior to David's temporary move to Milan. Victoria is said to be joining her husband in Italy despite previously insisting that she would stay in LA with their children.

'I Dress Like A School Teacher,' Says Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham has spoken out against suggestions that her image has changed to fit in with laid-back LA style since her move to California last year.

Victoria told Company magazine: "It hasn't, not at all. I am very British in my style. Think school teacher."

"I love pencil skirts and fitted blouses, classic cut dresses and well fitted jeans mixed with classic tailoring."

"It's always good to know what suits you. Your signature style is whatever makes you feel happy, confident and sexy. Of course it's always good to mix things up every now and again too."

Victoria, who launched her own fashion line in September at New York Fashion Week, also revealed that her look is influenced more by old fashioned style rather than the latest trend.

"The 1950s icons had such class. I love the glamour and sophisticated style of Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn," she said.

I don't know about you, but none of my school teachers dressed as fashionable as VB.

David Beckham's New BFF

It looks like David Beckham and David Arquette are becoming new BFF's as the pair were spotted sitting side by side at a Lakers v New York Knicks game last night deep in conversation.

David also shook hands with film director Spike Lee, and young couple of the moment Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.

A very lucky Vanessa got a hug off David, which no doubt made her year. Jealous? me? Hell yes.

The Lakers won 116-114.

Looks like David is finally growing out his hair. This is the longest I have seen it in a long while.

David Beckham Must Play In Milan To Be Selected For England

England coach Fabio Capello said at a press conference yesterday that David Beckham must play competitively while on loan at AC Milan to earn an England recall.

His move to the San Siro will start from 7 January to try to stay fit during the MLS close season.

He was left out of England's win over Germany in November but could return for February's friendly against Spain.

"If he plays for Milan he will be a possible for us," said Capello. "If he doesn't play, he will not be with us."

Beckham will equal Bobby Moore's tally of 108 caps if he plays against Spain but Capello says sentiment will not play a part in any of his call-ups.

Victoria Beckham's street style is arguably better than her red carpet style, but she has revealed her red carpet tips to the Britain's Cosmopolitan magazine.

Her tip. "Don't pose and talk at the same time, or else you're going to end up with a dodgy photo!"

What like this one Victoria? LOL

"Be yourself - if I stood on the red carpet with a cheesy grin, that just wouldn't be me. I'm always quite nervous at those kinds of things as well. I just try and concentrate."

David Beckham's AC Milan Squad Number is 75

David Beckham will join AC Milan on 7 January 2009, on what will be either a 2 month or 3 month loan, depending on what you read.

You can already purchase a Beckham AC Milan jersey with his squad number - 75.

It is a long way from his preferred numbers of 7 and 23, but those numbers are taken by Alexandre Pato, and Kaká respectively.

He is in good company in the upper 70's as Andriy Shevchenko is 77 and Ronaldinho is 80.

David Beckham Blogs Before His Move To Milan

Hi everyone,

Well, the Galaxy have played their last match this year and now all the players head off on their winter breaks. We had a great trip to New Zealand and capped it all off with a strong performance against the Oceania All Stars. There are some very good players, who come from the Islands, so hopefully the match helped to raise the profile of some of these players and soccer in general over there.

As for the Galaxy, the result and clean sheet sends everyone off on a high and we’ll definitely look to build on the confidence gained from this next year.

Obviously, while the rest of the squad take a well-earned rest I’ll be heading off to Italy to join up with AC Milan in the New Year, which I’m really looking forward to. It’s an exciting prospect and if it means that I’m at full fitness when the Galaxy get back together then I’ll be happy.

Despite facing rumors that she may have received a little help from her designer friend Roland Mouret on her new line, Victoria Beckham's getting the ultimate revenge: success.

Her collection of dresses is doing remarkably well, in spite of These Economic Times. Posh somehow is defying the laws of physics, gravity, and, er, economics right now by launching a luxury brand when no one wants to buy luxury, and then having it, you know, sell. She hit Bergdorf Goodman last Friday to personally introduce an early delivery of the line (which ranges from $1,000 to $3,000) to an intimate crowd of 65. And less than a week later, a Bergdorf representative confirmed to us that half the stock is sold out. This follows her line's success in England where Selfridges sold out of her entire collection at both the London and Manchester locations in one day. "I don't have a doubt in my mind that these special pieces will sell out," Linda Fargo, Bergdorf's senior vice president, Fashion Office & Store Presentation, told us. "Our gals still want the rare and hard-to-find pieces, and especially things that are so flattering and well made. They're sexy but elegant at the same time — a lethal combination for my money." The luxury department store expects five or six additional styles when the global launch takes place in February. Sounds like a happy victory for Miss Victoria.

Roland Mouret Was A Mentor To Victoria Beckham

This should poke the Daily Mail in the eye, as it was confirmed by Vogue, that Victoria Beckham’s PR team revealed that Mouret mentored her through the whole experience - and even called into her South London-based studio to congratulate her ahead of its launch last week.

"Roland set Victoria up with his pattern cutter and also introduced her to his fabric suppliers. The seamstress' atelier in Battersea was introduced to Victoria via Roland - they are a couture atelier looking after many London-based designers," a Beckham representative confirmed to press. "There is no secret Roland has helped Victoria set up various aspects of her atelier in London."

Victoria’s people insist that Roland had absolutely nothing to do with the creative process.

Before returning home to LA, Victoria Beckham was spotted out in New York dining with friends at Nobu.


The fashion designer look fantastic as usual wearing an all black ensemble with exposed zippers. She accessorized with black patent YSL trib two heels, a grey croc clutch, gloves and large bangles.

David Beckham Goes Bungee Jumping

I was not aware footballers could do this but David Beckham took up a new sport - bungee jumping.

He is seen texting a friend/or maybe even Victoria before launching himself from beneath the arch of the Auckland Harbour Bridge in New Zealand.

The event was a team-bonding experience for Becks–a bunch of his Los Angeles Galaxy teammates all jumped one after the other.

Wearing just his jeans and trainers David got drenched when he jumped, but surfaced grinning and wanted a second go.

Great to see him having fun like this.

The Daily Mail Question Victoria Beckham's Design Abilities

If you ever wondered why Victoria Beckham is so adamant that she will live in LA forever, it's because of stupid articles like the the one the Daily Mail published today, which is one of the many reasons she is in no hurry to return to the UK.

The paper ask "Which bit of your dresses DID you design, Victoria?" in reference to the similarities between her collection and Roland Mouret's collection.

OK, the style is very much the same, with pencil dresses and the sleek tailoring, but that is about all.

It is no wonder Victoria was inspired by Roland collection, because she has been wearing his dresses for years.


I found it quite funny that they even compared the thank you note on the dresses.

Looks like it was a short stay in New York for Victoria Beckham as she was spotted arriving back at LAX on Saturday.

She was wearing her black leather quilted Belstaff jacket with a leather pants, Louboutin's and her black Hermes bag.

She must be so jet-lagged. I hope she takes a well earned rest.

LA Galaxy Beat The Oceania All-Stars

David Beckham dazzled an adoring crowd without scoring a goal in the Los Angeles Galaxy's 3-0 exhibition win over Oceania XI on Saturday.

Beckham produced many of his trademark touches - brilliant crosses or passes into the penalty area - as the Galaxy won comfortably after scoring three goals in the first half. Beckham was eventually substituted, but his mere presence thrilled a near capacity crowd of 20,000 at Auckland's Mt. Smart Stadium.

"It was great," Beckham said. "Obviously I enjoyed playing in a different part of the world. The supporters enjoyed the game as I did."

An early volley by Beckham forced former Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich to make a magnificent save.

Jirvan Korvosky scored the Galaxy's opening goal shortly afterward and Alan Gordon immediately made it 2-0. Midfielder Brandon McDonald made it 3-0 in the 30th minute but the Oceania XI, a squad combining players from throughout the South Pacific, lifted its game to prevent the Galaxy from scoring again.

David was particularly looking forward with his tussle with Edgar Davids, and it looks like he got the better of him.

David Beckham Blogs From New Zealand

Hi everyone,

Well, the Galaxy are in New Zealand again. I can’t believe it’s been a year since I was last here already! The people are so friendly and welcoming that it makes everyone feel at home and adds to the enjoyment of being here.

Of course, we’re all really looking forward to the match. It’s brilliant that players such as Christian Karembeu and Edgar Davids could be playing as they’ve done it all and I know the guys in the team can’t wait to get on the pitch to face them. The Oceania team is also mixed with people from the Islands like Papua New Guinea, Tahiti and the Soloman Islands, so the match is definitely important in raising the game of soccer in this part of the world.

Even though it’s only a friendly it’s also our last match of the year and we’re aiming to finish on a high give the fans an entertaining match on Saturday. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Victoria Beckham Heads To The Meatpacking District

Looking vvvery chic, Victoria was as stylish as always wearing head to toe black.

The dress is of course her own, No. 10 in the collection. This was one of my favourites. I would not have left this one in store no matter how much it cost.

The fashion designer was seen at the Donna Karan store in the Meatpacking District, before headed uptown to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art today.

No word on what her official business is yet, but I am sure we will find out in due time.

So it was not Milan, but New York that Victoria Beckham traveled to.

According to press reports, Selfridges has exclusive selling rights until next month, when dresses will go on sale in Harrods, as well as Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus in the USA, and Restir in Tokyo.

I am sure her dresses will sell equally well as they did in London.

David Beckham Trains With The Galaxy In Auckland

After many hours without Internet access and moving what feels like a million boxes I am back.

David Beckham and the LA Galaxy teamd had at training session at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium. Six children were called out at random from 6500 in the stands to join David and the LA Galaxy in drill training.

The look on the young boy below, who can't believe how lucky he is, is priceless.

The Galaxy trained for about 75 minutes, and Beckham stayed on for about 10 minutes afterwards, signing autographs as he was mobbed by fans near the team bus.

Victoria Beckham Leaves Heathrow

Victoria Beckham's dresses are sold out, so the she is headed home.

Victoria was spotted on her way to Heathrow to catch a departing flight.

In head to toe black, our girl was the epitome of chic.

Faded Youth has reported that the Italian media is saying she is heading to Milan for the season’s gala opening of La Scala, one of the world’s most famous opera houses.

We will have to wait to see wear she lands.

I am moving house tomorrow, so I probably will not post tomorrow unless something major happens. I know I can't be away from my computer too long.

Manchester Sells Out of Victoria Beckham, And 3 Dresses Left In London

This is what Grazia posted today on their site:

Yikes, they've only been on the shelves for about five minutes and Victoria Beckham's dresses are already virtually sold out. Despite very little public excitement outside London's Selfridges store - no signs of Commes de Garcons stampede here - there are only three dresses left on the rail. Whispers on the shop floor are that the few that weren't sold at the private shopping event last night attended by Mrs Beckham herself have been swooped up for a private client to take her pick from at midday today. So looks like VB's self-promotion - she wore her FREJUS dress at last night's launch - sure worked... No word of what happened in Manchester yet but check back later for updates. Oh, and apparently the London store is receiving another delivery early next week if you want one.

UPDATE: We've just heard that in Manchester Victoria Beckham's dresses didn't even hit the Selfridges shop floor. They all sold out at the private event held at the store there last night. Popular lady, huh?

I don't think it is fair that these Private Clients get to see them first. What about everyone else?

My Day With Victoria Beckham...Dress Collection That Is

OK, so I get to Selfridges at 9.50 after the 9.30 opening and I get to her rail and :o only 6 dresses left.

I asked the shop assistant, if they had all sold out that morning, and he informed me that the most of the dress were sold at a private event the night before.

Yesterday she was at Manchester's Selfridges. She did a luncheon and presentation to 30 VIP customers, and they were given first dibbs on her dress collection. This also happened in the London store.

Selfridges London only ordered 40 pieces :(

Of the 10 designs, only 3 styles remained. So I picked up 2 size 10s and 1 size 8 and excitedly went to the dressing room.


I, of course, had to try on Dress No. 8 first and it's was magical. I did not want to take it off.

I had trouble getting into it because I had unzipped it all the way down to the end, and the dress has a corset fitted into the dress, so essentially I had to do up two separate zips. This proved difficult, so the store assistant helped me into the dress.

The second he did up the dress, I swooned ♥.


If I had more of a bust, and filled out the top half properly, I would very tempted to buy this dress, even with the £1,900 price tag, and the fact that it is almost impossible to sit down in the dress.

But who cares when it looks THIS amazing.


Dress No.1 was also gorgeous.

This is dress was more wearable than Dress No. 8, so you would get more for your money with this dress.

Very much a classic LBD, with a embellished bodice. This dress was around £1,800. Which I expected to be lower, considering the price of Dress No. 8


This was the size 8 dress, which did not fit me at all, but I put it on to show you guys.

I was not as in love with this dress as I was with the other two, but that is probably down to the fact that I could not fit in it.

This dress was the cheapest at £850.


Here are some details.

The tags were in gold show her logo and the sizes in UK, US and Euro.

There was also a cute note, that basically informed the customer that range encapsulates a new timeless style of dressing. Every garment is a testament to the love of fashion and the female form and that the collection was made in the UK.

In conclusion, the collection was as I expected, well made, well tailored and very narrow. My hips are 38ins and all the dresses were tight on my hips, but that is very much the silhouette Mrs Beckham wanted to achieved.

I must say I am very proud of her.

When her collection goes on sale on Net A Porter, next year I will be ready.

Christmas is canceled. I am saving for my Victoria Beckham dress.

Oh, and for the haters, don't bother saying I look like crap...blah blah blah, because I know I look good in these dresses. Well the first two anyway.

David Beckham Is Relishing Oceania Test

At a press conference on Thursday morning David Beckham told reporters he is hoping to see more of Auckland before the Galaxy side fly out on Sunday.

"It's an amazing beautiful country. That's one of the great parts of being here. It is one of the nicest places I have ever been. I have felt very welcomed."

David also talked about his short stint playing for Milan and didn't rule out playing for England in 2010 World Cup - if they qualify.

"I take each game as it comes. If I carry on to the World Cup, then great but I'm enjoying the qualifiers at the moment and enjoying the way the team are playing and the way they are bonding together."

He said England not making the Euro 2008 tournament was disappointing but "hopefully we can now reach the World Cup finals".

Victoria Beckham Must Wish She Was Back In Sunny California

Victoria Beckham was spotted exiting a Harrods helicopter this evening as she landed at the Battersea Heliport in London.

I would guess she was traveling back from Manchester, as her collection is due to go on sale in Selfridge's tomorrow.

I love Victoria, you know I do, but it was bitterly cold in London today, the poor girl is going to catch a cold, and she does look cold in these pictures.

The fashion designer - I love saying that - was wearing one of her dresses from her Spring collection. which I hope to try on tomorrow.

So I Arrive At Selfridges This Morning And....

....they tell me the collection goes on sale tomorrow.

Now I have to find another excuse to arrive late at work.

Her collection will be in Design Lab with designers such as Stella McCartney, Chloe, Gucci and Balenciaga.

I am really happy about that because I had visions of them putting it in the same section as Joseph and Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Even Vogue published it was going on sale today.

David Beckham Arrives In Auckland

David Beckham arrived in Auckland on Wednesday morning to a big welcome before LA Galaxy's game in Auckland on Saturday.

A tired looking Beckham stood surrounded by his team-mates as they were greeted by a rousing haka party and about 200 fans when the LA Galaxy landed at Auckland International Airport about 5.30am.

David posed for a team photograph and signed a few autographs before the team were whisked off to their Auckland hotel - The Westin.

Coach Bruce Arena says they're encouraging players to explore the city, so there could be plenty of Beckham spotting to come.

The 19-strong Galaxy team will play a friendly match against the Oceania All-Stars in Auckland on Saturday night.

On her eve of her dress collection going on sale in Selfridges tomorrow, Victoria Beckham sat down with Lisa Armstrong from the Times to talk about her never being good at singing, and the launch of her own fashion label, which she defends her status as its sole designer and explains the power of visualisation.

Here are some extracts:

"We lead our lives in a much more low-profile way than people think. I'm not going to The Ivy in Beverly Hills. I don't think I've been to a premiere since we moved there."

"We're not courting fame. I can give you a list of numerous restaurants that have underground parking so no one can get any photographs.

"Underground car parks and kitchens - that's my grand entrance. But in LA, at least we can be freer. I think the obsession with celebrity is worse in the UK than in America."

"I don't really care what people think. I never made friends easily. For years, when I was in the Spice Girls, those were my four best friends. Now I've got David."

"Nothing has ever come particularly naturally to me. It's made me a hard worker and very disciplined." The Spice Girls may have been her biggest success but she said she always wanted to be a fashion designer.

OK the www.victoriabeckhamcollection.com site has loaded, but I thought we were supposed to be able to purchase the dresses from the site.

Anyway the site features 10 of her dresses which we have already seen on Style.com.

The site also features stores that will stock her collection, the story behind the collection, and her funny commercial.

I was hoping to get an indication of prices, but I guess I will have to wait until Wednesday, when I hunt out 1, 2, 3, 4 & 10

They playfully attacked each other with inflatable wands, in good fun. But the cutest sight was the hugs and kisses the family shared.

Cruz took it upon himself to put on an impromptu break-dancing display for fans.

He is his mothers son after all.
