The Beckhams Have Dinner At The Waverly Inn

After their in-store appearance at Macy's yesterday, David and Victoria Beckham had dinner at the trendy, celebrity favourite restaurant the Waverly Inn, for a late night bite to eat.

They both changed out of outfits they wore to the signing - I am sure Victoria was glad to get out of those heel-less shoes. David wore pants and a waistcoat combo, that I preferred to his Macy's 3 piece suit.

Victoria changed into the same strapless dress she had worn earlier in the day to the Regis & Kelly show.

There seems to be a lot of upset by fans at the signing, as no one was allowed to take pictures of the couple, nor was anyone allowed to have anything other than the bottles of perfume signed.

I understand that the rules are there to ensure those who queued got to see them, but this for me kinda takes the fun out of the whole event. If I had queued for 5 hours, I would have wanted to have at least got my photo taken with them. A signature on a glass bottle will rub off after a short amount of time.

I know the designer of Victoria Beckham's ensemble, but that will follow this post, when I find the untagged, full-length, non Getty picture I want of her.

I have heard that David was a bit sombre, like he did not want to be there. If this is true, we should put this down to the fact that he lost a game yesterday.

I was hoping they would me more colour coordinated. I love the dress, not so sure about the wax looking leggings.

I LOVE the neckline on her dress. I don't like the over tanned back with the pale make-up.

Victoria Beckham on Regis & Kelly

Victoria Beckham appeared on Regis and Kelly today wearing one of her self designed dresses.

When asked by Kelly Ripa if she still got "that feeling" when she sees David, Vic replied: "Yeah, I do. We spend a lot of time together, we go on date nights we go away together, we love our kids and everything we do revolves around the children, but we spend a lot of time together, which I think is really important."

"I love him more now than I did when I first met him all those years ago. We are very lucky to have each other. We really compliment each other."

'Everyone says "God David is so good looking" and I'm funny, and it is cool to be funny. I tell David that looks will fade."

When asked if the boys had kept their 'cute British accents' Victoria said: "They are getting American accents. I think it is really cute. They have a great school, they play a lot of sport and the opportunities here in America are fantastic."

Nick Lachey, who was the co-host for today, admitted to Victoria that he had a man-crush on her husband.

"This seems to be the perfect forum to say that if you are going to have a man crush, it might as well be for David Beckham," Lachey said.

"This is a big moment for me, it took a lot of courage, like Clay Aiken, to come out and say that."

"Somehow I think after today he may be aware of this, but to this point it has been a long distance 'bromance'."

A laughing Victoria said: "I noticed some drooling from you over my husband. Do I feel threatened?"

"Well you know, I do have to say he does love a man in a suit, and doesn't Nick look handsome. So you know, maybe I do feel a little bit threatened."

Ripa than asked Victoria about her famous haircuts, and whether she would shave her head to cause a stir.

"No I think that Britney did that quite well. I love fashion, I really do, and I love to play around with my image and try different things with my clothing, my hair and my make-up. I am a really girly girl so I like to try different things."

Posh was also asked about the impact of paparazzi on her life in the U.S.

"I think it is pretty crazy everywhere. I would never complain about paparazzi intrusion, I have put myself in this position, I am a celebrity and so is David."

Galaxy Lose To Chicago Fire

After the 3-1 defeat in Chicago David Beckham said "We need to pick it up because we are running out of opportunities. Our confidence was maybe too high going into this game."

The Galaxy entered the game hoping to capitalize on the outcome from Saturday's win, but they were playing a team that had been embarrassed defensively four days earlier. The Fire were coming off a 5-1 loss to FC Dallas, giving up more than two goals for the first time all season.

I was kinda hoping that David would be there also, but the R&K website only says Victoria.

You LUCKY New Yorkers.

You will get BOTH David and Victoria Beckham at a signing in New York this Friday.

I wanted to check it was official before posting, but it has been confirmed on the Macy's website.

The details are:

Friday, September 26 at 5pm on the Main Floor Fragrance Arcade.

They will personally introduce their new men's and women's fragrance.

As usual to meeting the Beckham's, there are rules.

Beginning Monday, September 22 at store opening, the first 300 Customers who purchase the special Signature duo set for $122 will receive a special pass to meet the Beckhams on Friday, September 26 at 5pm on the Main Floor, and get their fragrance bottle included in their purchase, signed.

Can't wait for the pictures. They will become part of my new header.

Who Wore Bill Blass On The Cover Better?

Rihanna first wore the an ivory ruffled blouse when she appeared on the cover of InStyle US August 2008.

Victoria Beckham wore the same blouse on the cover of the Harper's Bazaar Indonesia.

I love how Victoria used the ruffles, but bringing them closer to her face, so we got to see the full effect of the stunning blouse.

You will notice that Victoria is again doing her favourite editorial pose.

Victoria Beckham Exclusive Interview With The Sun

Victoria Beckham has been speaking to the Sun newspaper.

Here are some extracts from her interview:

On her new lifestyle: "I run four miles, seven days a week. I feel energised and healthy — there are really nice gyms here and I just enjoy it. […] David puts music on my iPod and Gordon Ramsay bought me trainers where you have a little chip so you can clock how far you’re running. I am eating more. I think you do eat more when you’re working out. And you want to eat healthily, so it’s good all round. […] I don’t really go shopping any more — apart from the flea market I go to every Sunday."

On her current lawsuit against a magazine that claimed she took diet pills: "Lots of young girls do look up to me, and I just think it’s ludicrous that they can completely make something like that up. You have to take these things really seriously."

On her success: "Things are really positive for me and I feel so content. I feel proud of myself because I’ve worked for it and, let’s face it, I don’t have to. I’m so content I’ve even been smiling a bit these days. [...] It feels fantastic that everything I’ve worked so hard for over the past five years is coming together. I’ve been on the covers of Vogue, I’m respected in the fashion industry, and Anna Wintour takes my calls."

Victoria Beckham & Eva Longoria Watch LA Galaxy's Win

Victoria Beckham and BFF Eva Longoria were both lucky mascots, as they watched David and his Galaxy team win 5-2 over DC United.

Each time I see Victoria's new hair cut, I am loving it more and more. I think my initial dislike, was just shock.

I love the picture below of Brooklyn cheering as the Galaxy score, and Victoria and Eva oblivious as they talk in the background. So cute.

Galaxy Win Against DC United

Finally Galaxy win after a very bad losing streak.

Landon Donovan scored three goals and an assist to lead the LA Galaxy to a 5-2 victory over D.C. United on Saturday night, giving Bruce Arena his first win as the Galaxy's coach.

Donovan, is top of the MLS scoring table with 19 goals, recorded his second hat-trick of the season and his career.

Beckham earned his ninth assist of the season and his first since Aug. 3 on Donovan's second goal.

United played with 10 men after Marc Burch received a red card in the 63rd minute for pushing Beckham into the boards as Beckham was shielding the ball from Burch.

Hi everyone,

Well, after the England games I returned to LA at the end of last week and immediately set off with the Galaxy for the match against Kansas City Wizards on Saturday. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the result we wanted. It was a tough game for us and obviously no one likes losing, but we’re all determined to turn it around.
We’re working hard on the training pitch trying to get things right and I think it just needs a bit of luck during a game for things to turn in our favour.

There are only six games left for us to get a playoff place and we all know it’s going to be very tough, but it’s possible. Getting that first win will make us mentally stronger and give us the belief we need.

We play D.C United at home next and we’re at home in front of our own supporters who deserve a win and we hope as a team we can give them one come Saturday night.

Victoria Beckham Watches Brooklyn Play Soccer

Victoria Beckham was quite the soccer mom, when she watched Brooklyn play soccer in this weekend.

After a week of showing her Spring 2009 collection, attending fashion week shows and parties, it must have been nice to spend some quality time with her kids.

If you are thinking that this Prada dress look familiar, then you are right.



But it's not only the dress, but the orange Hermes bag and the Jimmy Choo shoes.

Victoria wore this exact same look when she arrived at Heathrow airport last October, when the Spice Girls were in town to shoot a video for their new track Headlines.

I much as I was unsure about Victoria's cut, this dress look so much better the second time around with the dark crop.

Galaxy Lose Again

David Beckham's LA Galaxy lost to the Kansas Wizard 2-0 last night, a team they had beaten comfortably in the past.

David had this to say after the match:

"It was a tough game for us again," no one likes losing and we've gone a long time without winning a game. Today's another tough one to take. In the second half they just had a little bit more in them than we did."

The situtation as it stands now is that the Galaxy may make the playoffs.

David Blogs On Thursday

Hi everyone,

Well, it’s a great feeling to finish the two England games with six points and a good a start to World Cup 2010 qualification. Against Andorra I thought we played well enough and it was a professional performance from the team, but against Croatia last night it seemed everything just clicked into place. It was an amazing score line and everyone played brilliantly. To be honest, we owed the fans and ourselves that one, but to win 4-1 away to a team that has never lost a competitive match at home was as good as it gets.

I couldn’t have been happier for Theo Walcott, who scored a hat-trick. He’s still so young, but he played with no fear and scored three great goals. It was a great match for everyone, the manager, the team, and particularly the fans, who never stopped singing.

I now travel back to LA for our next match against Kansas City Wizards on Saturday. There are only seven games to go until the playoffs, but we’re only four points off third place, so if we can get a few wins we’ll definitely be in contention for a playoff place. Hopefully we can get that first win in Kansas.

David Beckham Comes On As A Sub As England Beat Croatia

Arsenal star Theo Walcott scored a hat-trick last night against Croatia before being replaced by David Beckham.

He revealed that former England skipper David Beckham told him to be 'more greedy' in front of goal before his incredible hat-trick against Croatia last night. The team eventually won 4-1.

Looks like his advice worked.

I love the above picture, as it shows that David is generally happy for him.

While his wife is the talk of New York Fashion Week, David Beckham was training before tonights FIFA 2010 Group Six World Cup Qualifying match between Croatia at the Maksimir Stadium.

Since Victoria got her hair cut in New York, David would not have seen his wife's new hair cut, he would have only seen the pictures that we have seen.

To prove that Victoria Beckham is being taken very seriously by the fashion industry Style.com, who lists designers such as Alexander McQueen and Marc Jacobs, have added Victoria's collection to their site.

The woman formerly known as Posh Spice has launched a dress collection, and, believe it or not, it's one of the hottest things going in New York this week. It should come as no surprise that Victoria Beckham is an entrepreneur to be taken seriously; she's already launched dVb denim and sunglasses, and her fragrance, which was previously unavailable here, is soon headed to the States. But her sheaths and shift dresses, which we're told several major retailers are vying to offer exclusively, will sell not on the power of her name but on the sophistication of their cut and fit.

Every one of them could've been pulled from Beckham's own closet. The silhouette is beyond body-conscious, ultra-fitted from shoulder line to below the knee, with special seams along the derriere and torso to ensure against flat rear ends and busts, respectively. And each comes with woman-friendly details like a rose-gold back zipper ("so you don't have to dive into it and mess your hair and makeup") and a removable grosgrain ribbon lining the waist ("for posture"). If the collection owes a debt to anyone, it's Roland Mouret, whose Galaxy dress gave curves to even the most skeletal of celebrities, or maybe Dolce & Gabbana. But Beckham denies the inspiration. "This has been a lifetime in the making," she said, adding that she's been wearing the best designers in the world for about as long. And she's not interested in making an It dress. "I don't want to make dresses that will date. I've always been about clever buying." The dresses will range from $1,500 to $3,600.

Victoria Beckham Shows Off Her New Do A New York Party

Wearing gorgeous black mini wrap dress with structured shoulders, Victoria Beckham looked stunning as arrived at a party in New York.

She accompanied Marc Jacobs in a purple skirt to the party for Jennifer Hudson's Album, held by Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley, the pictures show her having fun with the guys at the party.

Simon Doonan, the creative director Barney's, also had a photo with Victoria.

About her new do Victoria said, "I get bored very very quickly and I just fancied a change."

Her hair was cut and styled by New York celebrity hairstylist Garren, who said he wanted to play up her features.

"It was clear that we had to go short and create a new look that embraced her beauty, great personality and body," he said in a statement.

The Jonas Brothers revealed today on UK breakfast show GMTV, that Victoria told them that her boys want to follow in their footsteps become the 'Beckham Brothers'.

Victoria Beckham's Collection Is A Hit With Fashion Buyers

When Victoria Beckham announced that she had designed a range of dresses and would present them at New York fashion week, not a lot of journalist were supportive.

But yesterday afternoon, the select band of buyers and editors who viewed the collection changed their tune. "Beautiful", "desirable" and "classy" were among the words bandied about.

Top boutiques and department stores have already begun squabbling over the right to sell the first collection of dresses with "Victoria Beckham" in the label when it hits stores in February.

With only 400 dresses being made in the first season, the range looks destined to be a sellout, even with retail prices starting at £650.

The 15 dresses are all immediately recognisable as signature Victoria Beckham. They are figure-hugging, cut to maximise curves, although with a modest below-the-knee hemline and come in sizes six to 14.

The high standard of the collection has made many journalists question whether Victoria, who has no design training, could take credit for the creation.

The influence of Roland Mouret, whose dresses Beckham often wears, is very visible in the collection, but Beckham said yesterday that she designed the entire collection with no assistance from Mouret or anyone else.

I wish people would just give her credit. The collection is clearly influence on her style.

I am glad that she owns the bag, as it confirms we have the same taste.

Unfortunately we do not have the same disposable income, as the unstructured bag costs nearly $3,000, so you can guess that it is staying on my wish list.

Victoria Beckham arrived at JFK last week looking gorgeous in a loose fitting top, leather pants, Christian Louboutin heels and a black Roberto Cavalli bag.

The fashion designer showed her collection to buyers and editors yesterday during Fashion Week.

David Beckham Plays A Small Part In England vs. Andorra

David Beckham came on for the last 10 mins when England were already beating Andorra by 2 goals to nil at the Nou Camp last night.

Andorra is a team made up of part-timers, but the real test comes on Wednesday when England face Croatia.

Whilst he was on international duty, his Galaxy team mates drew against Real Salt Lake 2-2.

Victoria Beckham's Dresses Finally Unveiled

Victoria Beckham has finally unveiled her first ever dress line, which she describes as having been "a lifetime in the making", at New York Fashion Week.

A ten-piece collection is said to be very much her signature high end look, the pieces - created from basket-weave cotton, fine gazar and georgette silks - are strictly tailored and lavishly embellished with embroidery and hand-sewn beading.

"Structure is an important word to use when discussing my collection," she tells WWD, which enjoyed an exclusive preview. "The corsets and belts that have been incorporated into my dresses have been made in such a way that they are comfortable and supportive. My clothes are designed for women from a woman's perspective."

The dress collection will be selling via private appointments with buyers over the next week.

The label will say both Victoria Beckham and dVb, and the collection is priced between $600 and $1,400 at wholesale

A List Stars Help Celebrate Romeo Beckham's Birthday

Finally Victoria Beckham has come out of hiding.

This week Victoria looked stunning in a orange sorbet Jil Sander Spring 2008 mini dress when she celebrated Romeo’s 6th birthday.

Her A-list friends and there babies were invited, including Project Runway host Heidi Klum and Gwen Stefani's rocker husband Gavin Rossdale, and Geri Halliwell for a party at Universal Studios.

Birthday boy Romeo slipped on his Batman cape for the occasion with Cruz proving quite the little character in a Power Rangers suit.

Notably absent was Mel B, who lives in LA. In a recent interview that despite living close by that he hardly ever speaks to Victoria.

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well?

As you know Bruce Arena is now in charge at the Galaxy and I played my first game under him last week against New England Revolution. We drew the game, but he is definitely getting his ideas across to the players already. He works us hard in training to ensure we understand exactly what he expects on the pitch. It’s not going to happen overnight, but the signs are there and we’re all behind the manager. Things are looking very positive for the future.

I’m currently training with the England squad ahead of our first two World Cup qualifying games against Andorra and Croatia. We’ve only played friendlies under Fabio Capello so far, so these will be our first competitive matches since he took over, and we are all looking forward to them. I must also add my congratulations to John Terry on being awarded the England captaincy. He is a great player and a great defender who leads by example and so it’s fantastic to see him retain the captain’s armband. All the England squad are delighted for JT and can’t wait to get on with the serious business of qualifying for the World Cup.

David Beckham Trains With The England Squad Ahead Of World Cup Qualifiers

Here are some pictures of David Beckham training with his England team mates this afternoon.

Capello has stated that there are no guarantees that David will play in the games, like the other players.

I know if he does not play, it will anger you Galaxy fans who already are angry at David's inclusion in the England squad.

David Beckham Named In The England Squad

I am very happy to announce that David Beckham was called up to the England squad last night, which means that he is probably on a plane now headed back to London to train with the squad.

There will be two games for the 2010 World Cup qualifiers. The first is against Andorra in Barcelona on September 6 and the second against Croatia in Zagreb on September 10.
