Victoria Beckam Arrives In Napa Without Heels

Victoria Beckham landed in Napa on Friday to attend manager Simon Fuller's wedding this weekend.

You will be surprised to see that Victoria is NOT, I repeat not wearing heels. This is the second time in a week the she has been seen without heels. But I don't see this trend lasting for long, as our girl loves heels, the higher the better.

All the other ex-Spice Girls travelled to Napa, so it will be another mini reunion.

Oh to be a fly on the wall.

David Beckham Will Captain England Against Trinidad and Tobago

David Beckham has been named the captain for tomorrows friendly against Trinidad & Tobago.

It will be the first time that he has worn the armband since the 2006 World Cup, when David resigned as captain of the team.

Capello has rotated the captaincy during a series of friendlies, and will make a final decision about who will be the permanent leader, before the next World Cup qualifying series gets under way.

"People will always question whether I can still play at this level but I want to carry on. I am not ready to stop playing for my country," said Beckham. "I have a few more wrinkles now but I still feel I can do what I did 10 years ago. I was happy with my performance against France in March, my first game under Fabio Capello, and it was the same against the United States the other night. I was happy to set up the opening goal."

"When you have worked on things during the week, like where the players have to run to and where I have to put the ball to, and it comes off in a game, it makes you happy. People have always talked about my set pieces and what I can bring to the team. I can bring a lot more to the team than set pieces but it is one of my strongest things that I can do in the game. There is always a chance if I get a set piece that I'll put it in the right place for someone to score."

"The manager has said if I stay fit and I am performing, then I've got a chance to be in the squad and that's all I can ask for. At the moment I am taking each game as it comes - and who knows what is around the corner? But I've played in three World Cups and I know how much it means to the country, so I would love to still be playing in 2010 and be at the World Cup in South Africa."

David Beckham helped to attract around 3,000 fans to England’s practice session ahead of Sunday’s friendly match against Trinidad and Tobago.

Many fans cheered every time the Los Angeles Galaxy star touched the ball Friday at Hasely Crawford Stadium. The 80-minute light workout involved jogging, skills drills and a game of two-touch soccer.

England players applauded the crowd for their support at the end.

England coach Fabio Capello is resting seven of the Manchester United and Chelsea players who played in last week’s Champions League final.



David Beckham played football with school kids at the Marvin Lee Stadium in Port Of Spain, Trinidad after his training session. He even took the time to tie one kids sneakers.

Victoria Beckham's Sunshiney Dress

David and the England Football Team flew to the Caribbean this morning, so Victoria Beckham has been doing her best to keep busy in LA.

Wearing a bright yellow dress and a matching handbag, she was spotted arriving to Shutter’s on the Beach in Santa Monica for lunch on Thursday.

Either it is the sun or her hair gets lighter every time I see new candids.

I keep reading that Victoria will be auctioning off her Spice Girls outfits, but until actually happens I will not believe the story. The reason being, I have read many interviews were she has stated that she keeps everything in storage. But maybe as her days as a Spice Girl are well and truly over, she wants to clean out her closet.

I personally would keep that kind of stuff for ever.

Victoria Beckham To Attend CFDA Fashion Awards

Victoria Beckham will attend Monday night's CFDA Fashion Awards.

This year, the Womenswear Designer of the Year award will be presented jointly by Victoria Beckham, Eva Mendes and Maggie Gyllenhaal, who will take the stage representing nominees Marc Jacobs, Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein Collection and Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler, respectively.

This will mean we will hopefully some great pictures of Victoria wearing Marc Jacobs, of course.

A David Beckham Assist Sets Up England's First Goal

Last night a very proud David Beckham put on his England kit for the 101st time.

Before the game a beaming David Beckham was presented with a his Golden Cap from Sir Bobby Charlton. The cap was in a glass case, with every game he played in engraved on the case. It really was a beautiful touch.


David Beckham is doing his best to dazzle American soccer fans with his precision free kicks. He also is making sure they don't forget about them back in England.

Beckham's perfect curling ball set up John Terry for the go-ahead goal in the 38th minute, and England ended up winning the game by 2-0 at Wembley.


While England may not have been good enough to qualify for the 16-team European Championship next month, they did not struggle against the Americans on the world's most famous soccer field.

Steven Gerrard scored the second goal in the 59th minute off a through-ball from Gareth Barry that exposed the US defence.

Landon Donovan, Beckham's teammate, missed out on a chance to become the fourth-youngest player with 100 international appearances. The 26-year-old didn't dress because of a tight groin.

"I'm more disappointed with the result. But yeah, it would have been nice," Donovan said.

I am sure it would have been a very different game had Donovan been fit to play.

The match drew 71,233 to Wembley, the lowest figure in any of England's eight games at the 90,000-capacity arena.


David wore a pair of commemorative boots with England and USA flags embroidered on them.

Hi everybody,

Well, it was great to get two wins as it’s important to get some consistency under our belts. Some of the players, myself included, will be on international duty this week, so we can all leave in great confidence but it’s important the team continue the good form going into the MLS game against Toronto this weekend. From all accounts, we played well last night against Colorado in the cup and we’re unlucky to lose. Our priority remains the MLS Championship.

The game against Kansas City Wizards was one of the best I’ve played in the MLS. They’re the best team we’ve faced this season, so to come back from a goal down and win 3-1 gave everyone a real lift, as we’ve not come from behind before. It’s brilliant that our two strikers Edson and Landon are both scoring goals and for me, personally, I really enjoyed my goal at the end of the match.

I’m currently with England, training ahead of the friendly matches against the USA and Trinidad & Tobago. If I play against the US, it will be interesting to be in the opposing team against the likes of Landon Donovan. Hopefully he will reach 100 caps, it would be an incredible achievement for a good player and man. Rio Ferdinand and the rest of the Manchester United players in the England squad will be on a massive high this week after winning the Champions League, so congratulations to them. As a United fan I watched the game, and I was absolutely delighted for them, but I did feel for John Terry. I’ve taken a few penalties myself, so I know how it feels when you miss one, especially in such an important game.

It’s always great to meet up with the England lads though, and I’m really looking forward to, hopefully, playing some part at Wembley tonight and in the game against Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday.

Victoria Beckham Dines At Pink Taco Again

Victoria Beckham with Cruz, went out for lunch on Tuesday at Pink Taco in LA.

This joint seems to be a favourite of the Beckhams, as this is the same spot they went to for Victoria's 34th Birthday lunch.

I love Victoria's pink Versace heels, and how they match her pink Hermes bag.

For those of you who are worried about Victoria's hair, I believe it is just pulled back and not cut.

David plays against the US tonight. I wonder if Victoria will be there.

Looks Like I Am Not The Only One Who's Happy To See David Beckham Back In The England Squad

For those of you who were wondering why David Beckham was not at Kingston Rossdale's birthday party, it was because he is in England training with the England squad, ahead of tomorrow's game against the United States.

One of the coaches, Peter Taylor looks very happy to welcome David back to the squad during a training session at Arsenal's training ground. I am equally happy, as to see David in his England kit is a beautiful thing.

Fabio Capello has often said that just because David has traveled from the US to the UK, that does not guarantee him a place in the team, so David needs to work extra hard in training.

David will miss 2 games for the LA Galaxy. Tonights game with Colorado Rapids and Saturday's game with Toronto FC, as England's second game against Trinidad and Tobago is on Sunday.

I personally am not expecting much from tomorrow's game, because all of the England players excluding David, have mentally checked out of playing for this season as:

1. The European season is over, and they are looking forward to their holiday's.

2. They maybe still disappointed at not being in Euro 2008 which starts next month.

I would not be surprised if this game is a draw, or even if the US were to win.

The British press are seeing the key battle to be between Landon Donovan and John Terry.

Donovan could become the fourth youngest player in world football history to reach 100 caps if he plays against England. The LA Galaxy striker has scored eight goals in eight games this season in MLS action, including a recent hat-trick against Chivas USA. At just 5ft 8in he will pose little threat in the air but can score with both feet and will rely on his pace to unsettle England's defence.

Terry will be playing his first game since missing a penalty in the Champions League final and Donovan will be hoping the Chelsea centre-back's mind will still be on that Moscow miss which denied the Chelsea European glory. However, Terry could be handed the captaincy by coach Fabio Capello and that is certain to ensure the Terry turns in a typically committed display.

Victoria & Cruz Beckham Attend Kingston Rossdale's Birthday Party

Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale threw a birthday party for their son, Kingston in LA on Sunday.

Kingston turns two-years-old today.

Most of the kids were dressed up in cute costumes.

Victoria Beckham and Cruz (dressed in a monkey costume) were there, along with Joel Madden with his 4 month old daughter Harlow, Christina Aguliera and husband Jordan Bratman joined in the fun with son Max Liron.

I wonder if Victoria Beckham could concentrate without her heels on. LOL

In her GMTV interview Victoria said "I just can't concentrate in flats."

"When I'm at home with David and the kids, I'm always in a pair of flip flops," she admitted. "He likes me without any makeup on – just looking really natural."

Cruz does love that Monkey outfit. He also wore it when he watched his Dad score that spectacular goal against the Wizards.

David Beckham Scores His 4th MLS Goal From 60 Yards

David Beckham and Landon Donovan contributed two of Galaxy's three second-half goals on Saturday as the Galaxy won 3-1 over the Kansas City Wizards.

Beckham's injury time insurance goal was his fourth of the season for the Galaxy, who moved to the top of the MLS Western Conference with their second straight victory.

The win marked the first time this season the Galaxy have put together back-to-back victories.

Beckham rounded off the triumph with a 60-yard shot into an empty net, which you can see in the video below.

Edson Buddle had given the Galaxy the lead in the 74th minute, slotting home a low shot off a feed from Donovan.

Claudio Lopez had opened the scoring for Kansas City in the 40th minute, and Donovan equalized with a penalty in the 54th after he was brought down by Tyson Wahl.


This goal is reminiscent of the goal David scored as a Manchester United player in August 1996. David scored from beyond the halfway line, with a long and accurate strike that caught Wimbledon goalkeeper Neil Sullivan off his line.

Something Catches Victoria Beckham's Eye

We have jokingly laughed at David Beckham starring at the LA Laker cheerleaders, but now it seems that even Victoria can't help taking a sneaky peak.

The Beckhams Watch the Lakers Beat The Spurs

OMG...I have been out all day and come home to the most beautiful candids of Victoria and David Beckham at a Lakers game last night.

The sexy couple saw the LA Lakers beat San Antonio Spurs, 101-71 in a Western Conference Game 2 at Staples Center, to take a 2-0 playoff lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference Finals series.

The couple seemed to be having fun, sharing a giggle, and looking up at the giant screens above them, but did not share a toffee apple.

Eva Longoria was also there cheering on her husband, but looked very sad that they lost. :(

Tim Gunn Was Blown Away By Victoria Beckham

Fashion guru Tim Gunn, a mentor on reality show Project Runway, was recently asked what he thought of Victoria Beckham in an interview and here is his response:

I’d only seen pictures of her looking inscrutable. I’d never even seen an interview with her but I was blown away by how articulate she is about fashion. She really understands textiles, length, proportion and fit and she can talk about them all passionately. There was more depth there than I expected. She’s a very thoughtful individual.

It sounds like he was not expecting much from Victoria, and I am glad she managed to blow him away.

Is Victoria Beckham Returning To Ugly Betty?

I have read in many publications that Victoria Beckham will be returning to Ugly Betty, but when it appeared in Vogue and NY Fashion Mag, I wonder if it might be true.

Here is the article below:

Having caused a stir with her cameo appearance in Ugly Betty last season - where she played herself as a self-seeking bridesmaid - Victoria Beckham has reportedly signed up to return for a long-term stint in the show.

"The producers are delighted she will return. She is going to feature quite a bit," an on-set source tells the Sydney Morning Herald.

As well as establishing herself as a credible fashion-world force, Beckham has been keen to win the hearts of the American public since moving her family to LA with husband David last year, and a regular slot on such a popular mainstream show will no doubt help her cause.

An Ugly Betty role is becoming quite the thing to add to a fashion portfolio these days; Naomi Campbell's much-publicised cameo appearance, in the season three finale, was shown in the US last night.

What makes me question this article is:

1. The source spoke to a Sydney newspaper, why not the US publication as you would expect.
2. Victoria has said many times - most recently in her Heart FM interview - that she can not act and has no desire to act.

Other than questioning the article, were can Victoria Beckham's character - as herself - really go in the show?

David Beckham & Son Brooklyn Watch The Lakers Win

After watching Manchester United beat Chelsea on penalties in the Champions League Final, David Beckham and son Brooklyn went to watch the LA Lakers play in the opener of the National Basketball Association playoff series at the Staples Center.

The father and son watched the LA Lakers win 89-85 over the San Antonio Spurs.

The game was obviously very close, which is why you can see David out of his seat in several pictures.

As usual the paparazzi have managed to take a picture of David whilst he is looking in the direction of one of the cheerleaders, to imply he was checking her out LOL.

He is as dreamy in this yellow t-shirt as he is in the purple one he wore last time.

Hi everyone,

It was great to come back from Dallas with our first away win of the season under our belts. It’s always a good feeling to win any game, but to win 5-1 away was brilliant for the team and for our confidence, especially after losing at home in our last game. We’d worked really hard all week in preparation for the match, so to see the hard work pay off was good to see. I was really happy for Edson Buddle to get his hat trick. It’s always special when any player scores three goals in a game, so congratulations to him. Regarding the tackle in the second half, obviously I wasn’t happy with it, and it could have been a lot more serious than it was, but that’s football. It was just two players competing for the ball in the heat of the game. These things happen, but you get up and get on with the game.

We’ve got the Kansas City Wizards in our next game at home on Saturday and then I’ll be flying to the UK to join up with the England squad for the friendly matches against the US and Trinidad & Tobago. Even though they are only friendly games, every game for England is important for building team spirit and gives players a chance to impress the manager and coaching staff. I’m really looking forward to the game against the US and the chance to play against one or two of my Galaxy teammates if the manager picks me.

Donovan To Face Beckham In England vs. USA Friendly

Striker Landon Donovan is poised to make his 100th appearance for the United States in next week's friendly against England at Wembley Stadium.

The LA Galaxy striker has been named in a 22-man squad, one of just three domestic-based players to make the trip for the game on May 28.

Eight players from English clubs are in coach Bob Bradley's squad. Three players in the US side do not currently play for any league clubs, which is very strange.

So they are good enough to play for their country, but not for a league side? ?!?!?!?!

In other England news. The England friendly against Trinidad and Tobago has been plunged into doubt over a bizarre dispute between the Caribbean nation's most powerful football figure, Jack Warner, and his government. The two sides are in a bitter disagreement over the cost of renting the government-owned stadium for the match on 1 June.

The Football Association were last night urgently seeking clarification over the game after Warner was quoted in the Caribbean as saying that he would rather call the match off and repay ticket-holders than bow to the demands of the government.

Manchester Utd Win The Champions League

David Beckham will be very happy to know that his former team, Manchester United won the Champions League this evening.

Real Madrid won La Liga, Manchester United won the Premiership and the Champions League.

I bet he would give anything to be back in Europe playing real football.

David Beckham Backs Manchester United To Win The Champions League

David Beckham claims he has rarely suffered from nerves, even before and during the biggest games of his career.

However, he conceded that he will be filled with tension and trepidation Wednesday morning (evening European time) - from the comfort of his own couch.

On Wednesday morning, Beckham will sit himself down in front of his television at his Beverly Hills home and barely move for the next two hours as Manchester United takes on Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League final.

Beckham's love affair with United goes further back than his 12-year career at Old Trafford and stems from his father Ted's lifelong fascination with the club.

"Without a doubt I will be watching nervously," Beckham told Yahoo! Sports. "We have got a day off from training, so I will be enjoying that and sit in front of the television and hopefully watching Man United beat Chelsea."

"It will be an electric atmosphere and having two English teams in the European Cup final for the first time makes it extra special. I just hope United go and do it now."

"I always think Man United deserve to win everything because I am a United fan," he said. "They have got a great team, with great players all the way through the team - not just their top players.

"There is an incredible team spirit which flows with the history of the club, and the fans deserve things like this because they support the team like no other around the world."

Beckham was a key part of the 1999 United team that won the Champions League final to complete a remarkable and unprecedented treble in English football of three major trophies in one season. His efforts in the closing minutes helped Sir Alex Ferguson's side erase Bayern Munich's 1-0 lead heading into injury time and capture the European title with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dramatic winner.

While he admits that his affinity with United makes him biased, Beckham believes the Red Devils do hold a psychological edge over Chelsea after having held off the Blues' late-season charge to raise their second straight Premier League trophy.

"What helps is when you have already got some silverware under your belt," Beckham said. "That really settles you going into a big game like this because the European Cup final is a huge game.

"They have got the confidence of winning the league. They have got the top spot which is a huge thing in England. They have got a big lift and I hope they go and take this as well."

I know I will be cheering on Manchester United, even as an Arsenal fan as I hate Chelsea.

Victoria Beckham Dines At Beach Duke

Last week Victoria Beckham was dining in one of the poshest restaurants in London, yesterday Victoria and Cruz went to Malibu Beach to dine at Duke’s restaurant where she met up with some friends for a quick bite to eat.

So, where were Posh’s other boys? Apparently they were taking swimming lessons with Heidi Klum’s kids. Victoria has become close friends with the supermodel since her appearance on Project Runway and now the friends have begun taking turns carpooling their kids to various after school activities.

I love how normal she is despite the cameras in her face all the time.

VB fashion watchers will recognise Victoria's dress as the same Giambattista Valli dress she wore in Italy when she attended a dinner with TomKat during their wedding weekend.

Edson Buddle's Hat Trick Helps Galaxy Win 5-1 Over FC Dallas

Edson Buddle scored three goals, and the Los Angeles Galaxy scored four times in a span of 14 minutes in a 5-1 victory over FC Dallas on Sunday.

Buddle's second goal gave the Galaxy a 4-0 lead in the 39th minute. His final goal, in the 85th minute, was assisted by David Beckham and Landon Donovan, who had two assists.

Beckham received a yellow card in the 76th minute after he got into a shoving match with Adrian Serioux and Arturo Alvarez of FC Dallas (2-3-3). Serioux was given a red card and ejected.

It was Beckham's second yellow card in two Texas appearances, both sellouts. He received one in an exhibition game March 15 after an altercation with FC Dallas midfielder Andre Rocha.

Buddle's first goal came in the 31st minute when he dribbled between three defenders before firing a left-footed shot into the left corner of the net from about 18 yards to give the Galaxy (3-3-2) a 2-0 lead.

Los Angeles took a 3-0 lead on an own goal after Donovan's shot from outside the left corner of the penalty box bounced into the net off the leg of FC Dallas captain Duilio Davino.

Chris Klein gave the Galaxy a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute after he fired a shot from 15 yards into the left corner of the goal.

Dominic Oduro scored on a header in the 54th minute from outside the top of the goalie's box for the only FC Dallas goal.

David Beckham has recently added this Jeep to his fleet of motors.

He has has splashed out millions on his car collection that at one time included an Aston Martin DB7, a Lamborghini Gallardo and a Porsche 911 Turbo.

"For the most part, he collects cars," said Beckham's agent, Simon Oliveira, "tending to buy or sell them based on his keen interest in their heritage and history."

Oliveira told Forbes.com that Beckham had already sold the Porsche 911 Turbo he drove in Los Angeles last December.

Real Madrid Deserved Spanish League Title Win Says Beckham

David Beckham has said that Real Madrid fully deserved their second consecutive Spanish league title win.

Asked by Spanish sports daily Marca if he still keeps track of his former team, the former England skipper said: "Of course man, and I am very glad for all my former team-mates at Madrid."

"They have dominated the league and are the clear winners," said David.

Real won their 31st championship on May 4 with a 2-1 win over Osasuna. It was the first time that they won back-to-back titles since 1990.

The club's next match was against arch rivals FC Barcelona who according to tradition honoured the new champions as the squad entered the Bernabeu pitch in Madrid.

It was the first time in 20 years that Barcelona formed the passage of honour for their rivals - Real rubbed salt into their wounds by thrashing them 4-1.

"For Barca to form the corridor for them at the Bernabeu must have been a really strange feeling for the players," said Beckham.

Beckham joined Galaxy in July 2007 after spending four seasons at Real Madrid on a 250-million-dollar, five-year contract.

Real's last match of the season is set for Sunday but it is in doubt as players from Levante have announced they will strike unless they are paid money owed to them dating back to last season.

I bet he still wishes he was there playing quality football. It's a shame.

Don't Believe Perez Hilton

Perez Hilton's reported that only 50 people turned up Victoria Beckham's Harrods signing in London, after reading the London Paper and this is just not true.

It was more like 140, which yes, can still be seen to some as disappointing.

I think a lot of people did not know about it.

It was barely mentioned in any press apart from her Mirror interview and her Radio 1 interview on the day of the signing, and her GMTV interview.

It was a horrible day in London weather-wise, and I think a lot of Spice Girls fans who would have gone, are still bitter from the tour and non-DVD release.

I did not go because I did not like the idea of being in a "non priority" queue waiting - possible for hours - and still be being able to see her.

I am not trying to make excuses, but her signing was at 5pm. At that time of day those who can afford to spend £300 on a pair of jeans are at work.

Her last signing was for her book in 2006 was at 6pm (after most people had finished work) in Selfridges (a easier store to get to) and 3000 people showed up and you did not have to buy the book and there were no priority lines.

Victoria Beckham Says Cheerio To London

After her Harrod’s launch of her dVb jeans collection yesterday, Victoria Beckham packed her bags and jetted out of London today.

A smiling Victoria gave photographers a wave, as she stepped out of her London hotel, making her way to Heathrow airport.

I have heard some stories about meeting Victoria and not all were that happy afterwards. Apparently those in the priority line, were rushed in and out of Victoria by her PR people, and those who did not purchase anything got to spend more time with her.

From her PR's point of view this would have made more sense, as those who did not buy anything and have longer with VB are more likely to leave with a positive impression of her and her brand and therefore buy the product at a later stage.

I worked in PR so I know exactly how it all works.

Kitson Are Still Hating On Victoria Beckham

Following the bad publicity stirred by Fraser Ross of Kitson, the US spokesperson for dVb said there are "no plans" to promote dVb in LA.

Fraser Ross said he was unhappy about Victoria's lack of promotion in the store.

Despite reports he retracted his statement about slow sales of the range, Ross told US news network Fox News this week: "It's a huge slap in the face."

"Her people told us that we won't be getting an in-store appearance because Victoria was angry about all the negative press she got here and things I said. So instead of trying to fix it, she's just snubbing us at a time when the US economy really needs a boost."

"Victoria asked me to issue a statement saying that they were best-sellers and flying off the shelves, but I said I would not lie like that, but it looks like they've done it anyway.!"

"Right now I have no choice but to pull her line off the floor — I'm lucky to sell 18 pairs of dVb jeans a month, whereas other brands at her price point I sell at least 200."

Victoria Beckham looks amazing here in a very beautiful sculptured top and her own grey dVb jeans with purple stitching.

What I adore about these pictures, apart from her hair beautifully swept back, is the smile. It's not full on cheesy, nor showing lots of teeth, just a pleasant smile, that does wonders for her.

She is even more beautiful with this smile, and I wish she would more often.

As I did not want to be disappointed in the "non-priority" lane of Victoria Beckham's appearance at Harrods I did not go. :(

Victoria Beckham On GMTV Part 2

Here is Victoria Beckham's second part of her GMTV interview.

In her interview she says, "I just can't concentrate in flats, I'd love to go to the gym, but I can't get my head around the footwear."

There is, however, on exception to her strict no-flats policy. "When I'm at home with David and the kids, I'm always in a pair of flip flops," she admitted. "He likes me without any makeup on – just looking really natural."

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well.

We played our first match of the season against a team from the Eastern Conference on Saturday, but unfortunately didn’t get the result we were hoping for in the home game against Red Bull New York. Without looking for excuses, I think it was just one of those nights. I was trying to get forward as much as possible and play that killer pass and I was probably too high up the pitch on occasion, but I still feel we did create chances. Obviously, in other games we’ve created more, but on the night we couldn’t find ways to get around the Red Bulls.

Last night the Galaxy played an exhibition game against the Vancouver Whitecaps in Canada. It was great to visit the country again and play in a game, which despite the 2-1 loss, was played in the right spirit and helped us work on a few things for when we play our next MLS game at the weekend. It was also great to see so many fans come out to watch the game. The fans really got the teams going and, of course, every player loves playing in front of a large crowd of people. It was a good performance from both teams, so hopefully the fans went home happy.

David Beckham Watches The LA Lakers Beat Utah Jazz

Last night a very hot looking David Beckham watched the Los Angeles Lakers and the Utah Jazz in Game Five of the Western Conference Semifinals during the 2008 NBA Playoffs at Staples Center play.

David watched the LA Lakers moved 3-2 up in their series with a 111-104 win over Utah Jazz.

In her Radio 1 interview today, Victoria said that David is a huge Lakers fan, which is evident as has attended nearly every game since his first game. Victoria said that David does not play but the kids do, along with ice hockey which she said was their favourite sport.

Who Wore Marc Jacobs Better?

Victoria Beckham, the model for Marc Jacobs' Spring 2008 advertising campaign, first wore this Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 dress to the 12th Annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in LA last year.

It was the night the Spice Girls performed together for first time in 9 nine years, prior to kicking off their Reunion Tour, which was supposed to be a World Tour until they cut it short.

Victoria wore her dress with a silver bra and black Givenchy heels.

Model Lydia Hearst wore the same dress last night, when she attended the Entertainment Weekly/Vavoom Upfront Party in New York.

The model who is set to appear Lily van der Woodsen's posh interior decorator Amelia on Gossip Girl, wore her dress without a bra, and was able to keep her modest fully covered.

The colour of Victoria's dress looks more vibrant, but that might just be the lighting. Victoria's bar gets in the way of the dress for me, so for daring to wear this dress without a bra Lydia wins this for me.

I also like her hair up with this dress.

David Beckham Assists, But Galaxy Lose To The Whitecaps

Be still my beating heart.

David Beckham gave the crowd a treat, but he couldn't deliver a victory for the Los Angeles Galaxy.

The Vancouver Whitecaps won in a 2-1 victory over the Galaxy in a friendly on Tuesday night.

The match was played in front of 37,104 fans at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, with most coming to catch a glimpse of Beckham in action. He set up the lone Galaxy goal late in the first half, but the Whitecaps controlled play for much of the contest.

David's assist helped the Galaxy tie the game, 1-1, in the 43rd minute.

He fired a long cross into the top of the box for Alan Gordon, who beat charging Whitecaps goalkeeper Srdjan Djekanovic to the ball and headed it into the open goal

n the fourth minute, the Whitecaps took an early lead with a goal from Adderly, who beat Galaxy goalkeeper Josh Wicks with a low shot inside his right post.

The Whitecaps took a 2-1 lead in the 66th minute on a beautiful strike from Sebrango, who fired a blast past Wicks at the left post.

Despite nursing a bruised right foot, an injury he suffered in the Galaxy's game last week against Real Salt Lake, David played for 75 minutes before coming off.

Victoria Beckham has long been criticised for not smiling, but she insists nature, rather than a being miserable.

She after all has plenty to smile about - handsome husband, healthy children and millions in the bank. She says her stern appearance simply comes down to the the structure of her face.

She told Fiona Phillips on GMTV today: "When I see pictures I do sometimes think 'You miserable cow!' But I think it's just the way my face falls. If people like the way I look then great, and if they don't then fine."

She clears up many rumours.

David Beckham Lands In Canada Ahead Of Exhibition Match

Here is a photo of David Beckham arriving in Canada on Monday ahead of an exhibition game tonight were The Vancouver Whitecaps host the Los Angeles Galaxy at Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium.

Despite it only being a friendly match David is under contract to play for at least 45 minutes, no doubt the please the paying fans who will attend to see him.

This same fixture was played six months ago after the two teams concluded the game with a 0-0 draw, so the fans will be hoping for some goals tonight.

David Beckham Is Named In The England Squad To Face USA

David Beckham was named today in England's squad for friendly games against the United States and Trinidad and Tobago.

England coach Fabio Capello picked David for his squad of 31 to face the Americans at Wembley on May 28 and at Trinidad on June 1.

David Beckham’s 100th appearance for England against France was thought by many sports journalists to have been his last, but Capello confirmed this was not the case by picking David for the double-header.

I hope he gets to play both games. It is a long way to travel and not play.

Pretty In Pink Victoria Beckham Departs LAX Headed For London

Here are some stunning pictures of Victoria Beckham leaving LAX yesterday en route to London. Which means she is here already. (Yay)

Queen Victoria looked stunning in a pair of dVb pink jeans, which I could not get away with, but Victoria looks amazing. No doubt a preview from her new collection. She also wore her trusty Gucci bomber jacket, her dVb ray-ban-esqe glasses and one of her many Birkin bags.

She is coming to London to promote her dVb collection in Harrods and whilst here she will also have a radio interview with BBC Radio 1 DJ, Jo Wiley.

I love when VB comes to town, because we will get loads of candids.

It has been reported recently that Victoria Beckham is being courted to appear in Steve Coogan's upcoming Alan Partridge movie.

Producers of the movie are reportedly trying to get Victoria to sign up as the tactless presenter's assistant.

An insider claimed that the movie had stalled while producers debated who should be cast as Partridge's long-suffering assistant.

Victoria has impressed the filmmakers with her wit.

The source said: "The Partridge film has been in pre-production for an age. One reason was because they couldn?t agree on Lynn".

"Felicity Montagu, who played Lynn in the series, doesn't want to go to Hollywood and the film's backers decided they wanted a big name to replace her."

"It was also important to them to have a Brit and someone with a sense of fun."

Victoria fits the bill perfectly. I would love to see her on the big screen.

David Beckham Gets Booked As Galaxy Lose

David Beckham received his first MLS yellow card in the 67th minute of the game between New York Red Bulls and LA Galaxy last night. He collided with New York’s Dave van den Bergh after van den Bergh passed the ball. A cascade of boos followed the announcement. The yellow card was Beckham’s first since the SuperLiga semifinal 15 August against D.C. United.

Juan Pablo Angel scored in the 78th minute to give the New York Red Bulls a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Angel scored one minute after Gordon had tied the game 1-1. Mike Randolph passed from the left wing to Gordon, who made a nifty move against two defenders and scored from 10 yards inside the right post in the 77th minute.

Beckham had a chance to score in the 59th minute but Conway jumped to punch away Beckham's 40-yard free kick with both fists.

Victoria Beckham's Harrods Signing In London

I am very excited that Victoria Beckham will be doing an in-store signing in the luxury department store Harrods in London on Thursday 15th May, between 5pm and 6pm, which is confirmed because I just spoke to the store.

This signing is promote her new dVb collection of jeans and sunglasses.

As usual with Victoria's signings there are rules.

1. Priority is given to those who have purchased something from her collection in store between now and the 15th. You will be given a special voucher, which will allow you access to the priority queue.

2. She will only be there for 1 hour so even if you have access to the priority queue, there is no guarantee that you will get something signed.

3. There will be another queue for those who can not afford her collection, but getting something signed in this queue will depend on the priority queue.

I believe the only way to get anything signed it to arrive early. There will be a lot of hardcore fans there who will be queuing very early, if you compare it to her Selfridges book signing.

I will go along to see her, but I don't think I will queue, as I would hate to be disappointed if I did not get to meet her.

Victoria will also be interviewed on Jo Wiley's BBC Radio 1 show. I think the best chance to meet her would be outside Radio 1, although she may not stop to greet fans.

Hopefully we will see more signings around Europe and Asia.

Hi everyone,

To top a great birthday on Friday, we managed to get a good draw against Real Salt Lake on Saturday, which was very pleasing, because we didn’t have the best of starts against them. We didn’t play well for the first 20 minutes and it took a few tackles before we livened up and got ourselves back in the game.

I’m delighted to have scored again. My game is mostly about making goals for others, but obviously if a chance does come along I’ll happily take it, so I’m pleased I could contribute with a couple of goals and help us draw the game away from home.

We have Red Bull New York next and we’re at home again, so we’ll be looking for another good performance to keep us up near the top of the league.

Victoria And David Beckham's New A List Pal

David and Victoria Beckham were treated to a ride on Giorgio Armani's private jet at the weekend.

The couple were joined by George Clooney, to fly 2,800 miles from LA to New York ahead of the star-studded Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala on Monday night.

Victoria and David Beckham are said to have had a lot of fun on the flight as they sipped on Cristal champagne during the flight.

"George was only recently introduced to the Beckhams but they hit it off straight away," says a source. "He totally digs Victoria's dry, very British sense of humour and gets her jokes, which a lot of Americans don't."

"They went out for dinner the evening before their flight but the trio really bonded on the plane, swapping gossip and doing hilarious impressions," the source tells the Daily Mirror.

After the gala the group went clubbing at the infamous Bungalow 8.

As a comedy duo, Victoria and George would be perfect.

Victoria Beckham Sues Rock & Republic

Back in December 2006 I reported that Victoria Beckham's was suing Rock & Republic, the LA-based fashion label which once manufactured her denim range.

The story has now come around again as Victoria is claiming that she is still owed as much as £50 million by Rock & Republic following their split in June 2007.

She parted ways with the fashion label after just two years, following rumours that her relationship with R & R designer/owner Michael Ball turned sour.

According to the Daily Mail a High Court listing shows that Beckham Brand Ltd, a company set up by Victoria and David, has filed a legal claim against Rock & Republic last month for a compensation payout of earnings lost.

I won't reveal my sources, but this is what the Beckham's will wear tonight:

Victoria Beckham will wear a crème vintage Giorgio Armani beaded evening dressing coat. The look features a peak label, plunging neckline and high front slit and is from the Fall 1989 collection.

David Beckham will wear a Giorgio Armani Made-to-Measure one-button shawl collar tuxedo with velvet lapels. The tuxedo style is reminiscent of classic looks worn in the Golden Age of Hollywood of the 1930’s.

I am yet to see the Beckham's on Oprah but here is what Victoria said about Tom.

Victoria Beckham on Tom: "One of our first dates, we went to the movies to see Jerry Maguire, and I wore glasses . . .It was first time David kissed me, and he completely steamed up my glasses.

When we got to know Tom, we told him the story of how it was one of our first dates, and he sent us the jacket that he wore in one of the scenes, and he signed it . . . And David hasn't taken the jacket off since. I make him wear it."

Now don't get as excited as I did when I saw this headline, David and Victoria Beckham will be appearing on the show with other stars, in what I believe will be a pre-recorded message for Tom Cruise's second of his two part special on Oprah today in the US.

Message From Fashion Critic

Unfortunately, a lot of you are taking the fun out of this blog for me, and that is the only reason I set it up.

I set up this blog because as fan of VB & DB I could not find information about them in one place and found this frustrating and realised others would also.

I have received both publicly and privately bitchy and catty comments from a small minority of you that has made me consider today that it would be best to give up on this blog as my time is being wasted.

I take time to source, post, and keep you up-to-date but all I get in response is school yard comments and this is not what I expected when I set this up.

If I am consistently wrong like Tina, Jen, Joanne (Jen especially who apparently knows everything about everything) and other annoying people keep saying, I suggest you set up your own Victoria Beckham blog and set the record straight.

I also get comments from others saying my header is shit and that I should use one that they created. I am not a graphic designer, but that took me time to create and these type of comments are just annoying and totally disrespectful.

I don't get paid for this and if it is longer fun then what is the point in continuing.

David Beckham Scores Two Goals To Give Galaxy A Draw

David Beckham scored twice in the first half against Real Salt Lake to help Galaxy tie the game at 2-2 tie at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday evening.

Galaxy trailed by two goals early in the first half, Beckham took advantage of a couple of defensive lapses and score his first two-goal outing since arriving in the MLS.

"It was a good game in the end," Beckham said. "I think that we started off terrible the first 20 minutes. We didn't get close enough to them as a team. We looked scared of them.

"And then a couple of tackles started going in, and we livened up," he said. "We got ourselves back into the game."

He scored twice in the space of four minutes, his first goal was spectualar, it was one of his trademark benders from about 25 yards in the 36th minute. He controlled the ball before curving it around the defense and past Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando inside the far post. Beckham did it again on a free kick in the 40th minute. He blasted a shot from 29 yards that went over the wall of Real players, and curved inside the left post again as Rimando dived helplessly for it.

Fabian Espindola in the sixth minute and Kenny Deuchar in the 17th had given Real the early lead.

Bitter WAG Speaks 2 Years Later About Victoria Beckham At The World Cup

Recognise that woman on the left? Nope, me neither.

She is Fiona Barratt interior designer and girlfriend of England footballer Sol Campbell.

The girl obviously needs some publicity, as she is now talking about Victoria Beckham 2 years after she encountered her at the World Cup.

Here is what she says to the Sun (of all papers) about Victoria.

Speaking of the treatment of the WAGs by the paparazzi and reporters during the World Cup in 2006 - when this picture of her was taken - Fiona says: "They had no idea who I was, thought I didn't have a pot to p**s in and had no idea of my background. I didn't care and got on the bus with my Financial Times and my sudoku".

"The nonentity WAGs had to walk out first. The higher the profile, the later they were. Of course, Queen Bee Victoria came out last, there being at least ten or 15 minutes before she appeared, and her hair and make-up team were all in the lobby. I sat and watched the whole charade. Victoria Beckham... what a nightmare. She's such a prima donna."

Geez imagine being that bitter for 2 years, how incredibly sad. Sometimes you just have to know your place in life and Fiona you were a nobody then, and a nobody now.

You speak of reading the Financial Times, yet you are speaking to a down market newspaper like the Sun.

Victoria & David Beckham To Be The Guests Of Giorgio Armani At The Costume Institute Gala

On Wednesday I posted that there were rumours of Victoria and David Beckham attending the Costume Institute Gala on Monday.

Many of you doubted that David would be attending, as he has a game tonight against Real Salt Lake, and then another game against the New York Red Bulls the following Saturday.

Well I can CONFIRM that both are attending as guests of Giorgio Armani, which is a no brainer considering David fronted a hugely successful campaign for Emporio Armani.

I must say the last few seasons I have not been a fan of Armani's RTW collections, but I adore the Armani Privé Couture collections and I hope Victoria wears something from this range. I hope she does not do what she did at Marc Jacobs show and turn up in another designer.

Giorgio Armani is the Honorary Chair of the Costume Institutes Gala dinner, and apart from the Beckham's he will be joined by his friends and co-chairs George Clooney, Julia Roberts and others including Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, John Mayor, Camilla Belle and Ziyi Zhang.

This years theme is Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy, but I can not see our favourite couple dressing up as Batman and Robin.

I can not wait to bring you the picture on Monday night/Tuesday morning.

David Beckham's Sharpie Ad Campaign

In a change from David Beckham's usual glamourous advertising contracts with Emporio Armani underwear, Police sunglasses and Motorola, David is the global ambassador for Sharpie permanent markers, which are widely regarded as the best autograph marker for celebrities.

Adverts, which are set to air in July, will show David using Sharpie to autograph a variety of unusual items for his fans.

The star has previously said of the partnership: "I have always enjoyed signing autographs for people, especially since I used to love getting my heroes' signatures when I was younger."

David Beckham's Pre-Birthday Dinner

Here are a few pictures of David and Victoria Beckham stepping out for a pre-33rd-birthday dinner.

Victoria, wore a black sleeveless ensemble, with a low-cut V-neck, while David sported a white blazer and jeans.

The couple went for a romantic candlelit dinner spending almost two hours at posh LA restaurant The Ivy on the Shore last night.

From this video you can see that the whole Beckham family celebrated together. (slightly intrusive I know, but it is so cute to see them all together)

Even though it was a very romantic affair with low lighting and a single candle on the table, the kids were also there.

David brought his celebrations forward because the LA Galaxy, have a match against Real Salt Lake on Saturday.

David and Victoria had attended a function at their sons' school before heading out to dinner.

Heidi Klum's Edible Birthday Gift To Victoria Beckham

Heidi Klum's birthday gift to Victoria Beckham was a dozen cupcakes from LA favorite Sprinkles.

But apparently the giving doesn't stop there. Sprinkles will be delivering a dozen cupcakes to Victoria every Friday for a whole year, with a different flavor each week.

"It will cost Heidi around $2,000." an insider told In Touch magazine. "The card said 'Happy Birthday, expect a dozen every Friday! Love, Heidi.'"

When Victoria was interviewed by Barbara Walters as one of the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2007, Barbara asked the Victoria if she would ever eat a cookie. Vic's reply was a simple, "No." (lol, that still makes me chuckle)

I can not see Victoria eating these cupcakes, so I guess Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz can get to eat them on a Friday rotation.

Who Wore What Comes Around Goes Around Better?

Victoria Beckham was the first to wear this silk mini dress dress named 'Marsha' from What Comes Around Goes Around, whilst shopping in London back in December.

Haylie Duff wore the same dress with a Chanel clutch to the Premiere Of War, Inc. at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival this week, which she attended with her younger sister.

The dress is available to purchase on the What Comes Around Goes Around website, and is also available on sale from Neiman Marcus.

David and Victoria Beckham Enjoy A Winery Tour With Celebrity Friends

David Beckham treated his wife to a California winery tour for her 34th birthday.

The couple were spotted on a private tour of a winery in Napa Valley on Monday, and they took along some celebrity friends.

Heidi Klum and Seal were also along for the ride, taking in the gorgeous countryside and sampling some fabulous wines, no doubt.

And the name dropping doesn’t end there… the winery excursion also included Tom Cruise and Katie Homes, as well as Kate Beckinsale and husband Len Wiseman.

David Blogs About His Upcoming Appearance On Sesame Street

Hi everybody,

Well, as you’ll probably know, we beat our local rivals Chivas USA in the SuperClasico on Saturday night and what a great advert for the MLS it was. It was a brilliant game to be involved in, one of the best since I’ve played in for the Galaxy and we could have scored even more goals with the chances we had. Although it’s still early in the season, we’re only one point off the top of the Western Conference, which is a great feeling and hopefully we can keep the momentum going. I’m also really delighted for Landon Donovan. He’s playing at the top of his game at the moment, so it’s no surprise that he’s the league’s top scorer.

It’s also good to see the younger players coming through, like Sean Franklin. He joined us during the SuperDraft and is already starting games and playing very well, which is great for the future of the club.

Next up we play Real Salt Lake in Utah, where I visited once before when I played for Real Madrid. I’m really looking forward to going back there to play my first MLS match.

Last week, I filmed an appearance on the children’s show Sesame Street. I can remember watching the programme when I was young, so I was delighted to be asked on to appear as a guest.
