David's Knighthood Blocked

David Beckham is at a centre of a Whitehall campaign to prevent him being made a knight.

This has come about due to his blasted move to the states. There are concerns about his move to play in the United States, where he will effectively be a tax exile, and also questions about whether his wife should become Lady Beckham.

Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham. I love it. I hope those stuffy bods in Whitehall give Sir David his title. He has worked hard enough to deserve it.

Trouble In Paradise ?

My girl Lainey is a Posh and Becks obsessive like me. She posted the clip and questioned their body language.

I have always talked about her interest in football or lack of interest in football and he loves football so you can understand why they are distant in this clip.

He is agonising over the game and she is agonising over her top, make-up, hair, manicure...basically everything but the game. I think she is just letting him get on with it rather than drape herself all over him when he clearly has other things on his mind. This makes her a good wife...no?

The beginning of the end? I don't think so.

Second Thoughts ?

The Daily Mail and other sources are asking with David being handed a dramatic England recall by Manager Steve McClaren, is Becks getting cold feet - and wishing he was staying in Spain to further his football career?

There was a private celebration of David and his Real Madrid team mates last week in which David Beckham was presented with a cake with the words "You'll Never Walk Alone" iced on it in chocolate, and an inscribed silver tray which urged him to remember the good times he has had at Real Madrid.

Beckham is said to have had tears in his eyes when he stood up to receive the keepsake.

He told his close friends and team-mates Roberto Carlos, Cicinho and Michel Salgado, who had arranged the party for him: "I will never forget you. You are like my family."

He added: "I will return to Madrid whenever I can."

He was reportedly genuinely moved by this expression of esteem from his peers, and filled with regret at the thought of leaving them.

How, then, must he feel now that his move to Los Angeles is looming?

I have been reporting for a while that my initial excitement of the move has now turned to disappointment, as he is still at the peak of his career. He now is taking a leap into professional oblivion - and more than one ally of David claims that he is having serious second thoughts.

"He's starting to get cold feet," said a friend of his sister Joanne this week.

"He would much rather than anything else be with his family in Hertfordshire. He's a home-loving boy."

David, have a look at your contract again. There must be a get out clause.

Victoria Beckham left Heathrow Airport yesterday with a yellow ribbon around her Hermes bag.

Is this a new trend you ask? No it is a show of support for a little girl called Madeleine McCann, a four year old British girl who went missing from a holiday apartment in Portugal.

It has been widely reported that Victoria was going to Madrid via Heathrow to meet David, but regular readers will know that David is in the UK training with the England team for their match against Brazil on Friday.

It seems Victoria Beckham likes a good British pub as much as the next person.

She stunned regulars yesterday at the Freemasons pub in Hampstead, North London, by popping in for a glass of wine.

Posh, drank Spanish Riscal at £3.50 a glass with her sister Louise and two blokes, and told how proud she is hubby David is back in the England squad for the Brazil match on Friday.

'I am so excited he's back — it's great for the whole family. David is delighted and so are we all,' she told The Sun.

But the ex-Spice Girl, dressed all in black, had to speak in torchlight after a power cut plunged the pub into darkness.

A barman said: 'We had to turn most customers away. But we allowed Victoria and her sister in with a few regulars. One of the men she was drinking with is a regular.'

He's Back

Doesn't he look excited?

He must also be smiling due to the fact that FIFA have warned Los Angeles Galaxy they will not be able to prevent David Beckham playing in England friendlies.

Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas only wants to release the midfielder for competitive internationals, but FIFA insist the club will have no choice if Beckham continues to be picked by England manager Steve McClaren.

Woohoooooo.....just gets better and better. The only thing that will top off this great news is if David announces that he is no longer going to America.

Following confirmation of his recall at the weekend, Beckham travelled back to England from Spain and was last off the coach when the squad arrived at Arsenal's training facilities.

After training Beckham signed autographs and posed for pictures with fans before boarding the team bus. I am so jealous. If I had a car I would travel to see him train.

Becks Prays He Wins The La Liga Title

Real Madrid maintained their grip on the Liga title race with a 3-1 win over Deportivo La Coruna tonight. Valencia had been beaten earlier in the day which knocked them out of the title race leaving it a three horse race should Sevilla beat Real Zaragoza tomorrow.



Sergio Ramos gave Real the lead after 29 mins. Captain Raul scored the second after 58 mins and Ruud van Nistelrooy scored the third to ensure they will head the table with two games remaining.

Beckham came close to capping his return to the England squad, but an excellent free-kick from 20 yards crashed against the inside of the post.

Real can not afford to lose any points and should win both these games and take 3 points from each game as Barcelona won on Saturday also to stay close in second.

See praying does work. BBC Sports News are reporting that David Beckham has been named in the England squad for the first time since the 2006 World Cup.

I am SOOOO excited. This is really great news. It is great to see David play in an England shirt again in the new Wembley stadium before he leaves for the US, were his chances of playing will be very slim due to the distance.

He is set to start Friday's friendly against Brazil (which I am going to) followed by the Euro 2008 qualifier in Estonia.

The full squad is as follows:

As you know I have been praying for a while that David will be included in the England squad for next Friday's game against Brazil in the new Wembley Stadium.

Victoria Beckham Will Judge Up And Coming Designers A Graduate Fashion Week.

Victoria Beckham will join the judging panel at this year’s Graduate Fashion Week. Victoria will sit alongside American Harper’s Bazaar’s Glenda Bailey, designer Alber Elbaz and River Island managing director Richard Bradbury.

Graduate Fashion Week takes place from June 3-6 at Battersea Park Arena in central London, with the team of judges deciding who will win the prestigious River Island Gold Award.

Posh Gets Pulled Over By LAPD

Victoria had a run in with the LAPD today. She was pulled over outside a Hollywood shopping complex by a Beverly Hills officer, who ran checks on her British driver’s license.

Apparently she was pulled over for speeding. I love Victoria, but I just don't buy this.

Firstly, it is no coincidence that her film crew were there shooting her reality TV show and secondly, Victoria is whiter than white and would not do anything to ruin "Brand Beckham" and I can not imagine her speeding.

Aside from that, Victoria looked amazing today wearing a yellow lacy bra that was peeping out of her figure-hugging black shirtdress.

Victoria Beckham To Attend The MTV Movie Awards

You guys have Christmas, I have the fact that Victoria Beckham is due to present an award at the MTV Movie Awards. OK I am sad and slightly obsessed, but the only thing better than this is for her to present an Oscar to Jennifer Lopez (my second love).

After she had been demoted to Bravo last week by NBC, this is a positive step in her one woman campaign to conquer America.

The Awards take place on the 4th June and I CAN NOT WAIT for the dress. It will be amazing. I promise you that people.

David Beckham tonight was given a prestigious award as our “Greatest Briton Overseas”.

The footballer was given the award for his contribution on the pitch, and off it for his contribution to the winning 2012 Olympic bid.

He flew in especially from Madrid to collect the award.

He needs no award from me. He has and will always be one of our greatest Britain's wherever he is.


Thierry Henry was there to present David with his award. Damn, they are two fine men.

David Beckham May Play For England Again

Manager Steve McClaren is considering bringing back the former skipper for the showpiece friendly against Brazil, which marks the team’s international return to Wembley on June 1, and the crucial European Championship qualifier in Estonia five days later.

McClaren has been impressed by both Beckham’s form and attitude since his return to the Real Madrid team. It is widely acknowledged in the Spanish capital that the 32-year-old midfielder’s resurgence has been instrumental in the team’s march to the top of the table.

The England boss is also aware that would-be successors to Beckham’s role on the right side of midfield have not had the impact he had hoped.

McClaren is due to name his squad on Saturday following the England B friendly against Albania at Burnley on Friday night. McClaren's decision was to be based on how well David performed yesterday at Recreativo Huelva. Seeing as he played very well and assisted in one of the goals there is no reason why he should not be picked.

In the Saturday Times interview David said "I still want to play for my country and I still believe I can do it." Oh yes you can David and lets hope you do.

Roberto Carlos' last-gasp goal gave Real Madrid a dramatic 3-2 win at Recreativo de Huelva to keep them on track for the Liga title.

Real looked to have thrown away two points after they surrendered a two-goal lead when Uche scored in the '86 minute.

Robinho gave Real the perfect start after just nine minutes when he headed home David Beckham's precise cross.

Ruud van Nistelrooy converted from the penalty spot after Robinho had been felled by Bertrand Laquiat.

David Beckham Times Interview

There is a great interview with David Beckham in The Times ahead of today's FA Cup final at Wembley.

Naturally he wants Manchester United to win the FA Cup. Becks talks about his forthcoming move to Los Angeles and also about how much he would still love to play for his country. Here are is the highlights of the interview:

On acting & botox
What about the stories that he is looking for a film role? “No chance.” Or a recent report that he had Botox injections? “Seriously? I would never touch anything like that.”

On Sir Alex Ferguson
We’ve still not sat down for a proper talk and I’m not sure we ever will, but I’ll only ever speak fondly of him. I never really wanted to leave United but he gave me the chance to play for the club I always dreamt about at United. I owe him so much out of my career.

On moving to LA
It is Hollywood and people are speculating that we are going to spend all the time with movie stars because we have some famous friends but it is not like that. I’ve got a job to do and that means mucking in with people on and off the pitch.

“I will be training as hard as I ever have done. I am not getting any younger so I have to work harder than ever. There have been high expectations of me throughout my career.”

He jokes about nipping down on to the Wembley pitch for a quick kick-about just in case he never gets another opportunity.

I hope he gets to play on the new Wembley pitch on 1st June when England play Brazil. Even if it will be for the last time. We deserve a chance to see our hero play for the last time in England.

From NBC to Bravo

While in LA Victoria is filming her reality TV show, but it emerged today that her £10 million fly-on-the-wall 6 part reality TV show with no long be shown on NBC. It will now be show on the cable network Bravo instead.

We do not have NBC in the UK but we do have Bravo. From viewing this channel I would assume that this is a demotion. What a shame for Victoria.

A source told the Daily Star: "This is a delicate situation for Victoria. She doesn't mind being on Bravo but this is a multi-million-pound deal.

"The idea was to help launch her in America to a new audience, on a mainstream channel. Now that is not the case."

Victoria Beckham is feeling the competition in ultra-posh Beverly Hills.

So much so, she has become a character from Desperate Housewives...

...not Gabrielle Solis. Posh has revealed she turned herself into Marcia Cross' character of Bree Van De Kamp in the hopes of getting her sons into a top school.

She told The Sun: "I've had to turn myself into Bree. It's so bloody hard getting into a private school in Beverly Hills. As a parent you feel like you are on trial."

In the 4 years that David Beckham has been a Real Madrid he has not won a championship medal. For any footballer winning a championship is very important, so you can image that Beckham will want to win won before he leaves for LA Galaxy this summer.

David did not play as he was suspended this weekend, but the results in La Liga enabled David to step closer to achieving his dream. This evening Barcelona dropped 2 points after drawing with Real Betis after their 90 minute goal, which meant Real stay top of the table, with a superior goal difference after beating Espanyol 4-3 on Saturday. Real are now in the driving seat with 2 games left, and must win those games to have a realistic chance of winning La Liga.

Keep your fingers crossed for David....he deserves a medal because lets face it, the MLS is not going to bring him any medals or Championships.

A car breakdown that is.

Victoria Beckham’s car broke down as she was on her way to pick up her son Romeo from a nursery in Spain. She left her BMW and hopped into the Range Rover replacement that was sent to her.

Lucky for her...the rest of us would have waited for the AA for about 4 hours, but we are not Mrs Beckham.

Another week another, new hair do for David Beckham.

Just as I was getting use to the blonde spiky hairstyle, David Beckham goes and cuts his hair opts for his much favoured cropped do.

Beckham recently told GMTV he had gone blonde because he "needed a change."

"I think I've had the same haircut for two years now and I was getting slightly bored. You know it's part of something that I do," he said.


The shortest hairstyle David has ever had was the "short beck and sides" he sported to the Sports Industry Awards in March. He entered the with his hair flat then spiked it for the Awards ceremony.

David Beckham admits he is going to miss huge football nights - like he enjoyed on Sunday as Real Madrid defeated Sevilla.

"You are always going to miss nights like this because they are special, the way the atmosphere is, the way the people are, the way the team played," said Beckham.

David and Victoria have been together for 10 years, which means she has been attending her husband's matches for 10 years. Girlfriend needs to try to look interested. Victoria Is The Driving Force Behind The Spice Girl Reunion

Victoria Beckham organised the £100,000 surprise party to celebrate David's 32nd birthday and their move to America. She spent the evening and the next day plotting and planning The Spice Girls' reunion assault on the US.

I believe Victoria feels this will be the catalyst she needs to crack America. Her reality TV show has been panned before even being aired, so she needs something else and the reunion could be it.

The Spice Girls broke the notoriously difficult U.S. market when "Wannabee" debuted on the Hot 100 Chart at number 11. At the time, this was the highest ever debut by a British group. "Wannabee" then went onto be number 1 for 4 weeks.

Victoria may have decided that as the Spice Girls there will be more interest from the US.

David's birthday dinner was a surprise planned by Victoria.

It has been reported that at the dinner party David was already getting quite emotional about Victoria making such an effort for him. He was looking pretty glassy-eyed with everyone telling him how much they would miss him and wishing him happy birthday.

But it wasn't long before David was reduced to tears.

Victoria was making a speech saying how much she loved him, what an amazing father and husband he was and how she felt blessed to have him in her life, and then when everyone round the table was shouting 'hear, hear', that's when the waterworks started.

Victoria and David spent his special day doing what they do best...yep..Shopping.

In the evening, they went to dinner at the exclusive London restaurant Cipriani were they were joined by Geri Halliwell and David Walliams.

I love Victoria's hair style...so cute, so chic.

Has Victoria Beckham Given In To Scientology?

Victoria Beckham has apparently agreed to study Scientology, it was claimed last night. I hope this is not true as she has managed to avoid it so far.

Her decision apparently comes after relations with new friends Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes cooled over the Beckhams' lack of interest in the religion.

Following Victoria's rumoured commitment to learn more about the (cult) faith, the Cruises are said to have agreed in principle to appear in a £10 million fly-on-the-wall documentary about her new life in the U.S.

Victoria is under pressure from producers at Simon Fuller's 19TV to fill the show with celebrities for fear of it failing to impress American audiences. This is unfair pressure and if I was her I would scrap the whole series. If she is willing to join the cult it is very said and just goes to prove how desperate she is to crack America. I would be very upset if this turns out to be true.

The Beckhams' publicist last night laughed off the suggestion that they would ever become involved in the religion. But friends are adamant that Victoria has been approached about joining a number of times and was finally giving in to the idea.

Her decision is understood to have caused tension at home as David Beckham is reluctant to become involved. In particular, he is said to be worried about the effect on their three boys.

Tom has made it clear their continued friendship depends on a commitment to Scientology. Tom basically wants them to be ambassadors for Scientology in Europe and Japan, where David is obviously huge.

Since Victoria is much more careerminded she agreed to her commitment right off the bat. David feels it's controlling, that he doesn't really believe in it and that it would be a bit false of him to preach something he doesn't believe in."

DeJa Vu

Victoria Beckham was in LA this weekend and it looks like she took her two favourite outfits with her.


Everything from the 29th April last year (right) to the 29th April this year (left) is the same apart from the shoes. Victoria is wearing the same red skirt by Louis Vuitton, the same red top, the same Asprey alligator handbag from the 167 collection, but this year red YSL tribute pumps.

The differences are the hair, the shoes, the top tucked (in 2006).

Victoria wore these red YSL pumps on her birthday when she went to dinner with her husband.


The second outfit, a striped shirt, black leggings and YSL Tribute Pumps, she wore whilst leaving LAX (left) this weekend, and also to David Beckham's team mate, Roberto Carlos' birthday party on 10th April.

I love Victoria Beckham, but with all the money in her and David's bank account she can afford not to wear the same outfit twice.

Victoria left LAX on Sunday after her one day stay, wearing a black-and-white long sleeved shirt with black leggings and Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Pumps.

Victoria Beckham Gets Dressed Up To Go Shopping

As I reported a few days ago Victoria Beckham has finally found a perfect new family home in the ritzy suburb of Beverly Hills.

Apparently it is very near the Tom and Katie's home and the hostess Victoria took them on a tour of her new sprawling villa, reported to have cost £11 million.


The Beckham's plan to move there in July following David's transfer to LA Galaxy.

David is still in Spain playing for Real Madrid, is yet to view the new purchase in person, relying on pictures sent by Posh via text message.

The couple have plans to add with their own sense of style to the mansion with the help of interior designers.

A family friend told People magazine: "It's a massive relief for them. They looked at so many houses. They have been able to finally sort out the house and school."

The Beckhams are set to sell their home in Madrid, but will keep hold of their north London residence.

To celebrate signing the contract for the house what does Victoria do?

Shopping of course.

London To LA - Victoria Beckham's Airport Chic

You may have seen these photos already...I have been away and unable to post.

Here is Victoria leaving London bound for LA.

The photos of when Victoria landed in LA are far more interesting.

She added a hat and removed the cardigan and sunglasses she left London in.

I have studied these photos and she is wearing a bra. Unfortunately it is a nude bra which gives the impression that she is not wearing one.





It is not surprising that there are more LA pictures than Heathrow pictures.
